Thanks, I wondered if it was the stop you were looking at, I cannot make out that detail as the pic goes too grainy when I blow it up.
Thanks for the reply.

But it is a lot work, is there an easier way?
Know some that are opening up the rails from the top (interior of the car) and working them from that side. Seems allot easier to do and hide
Thanks Jeff
I am still undecided. As my car has full undercoating it will never be a car that I will put mirrors under to show off the bottom, but it would be nice to straighten those rails a bit.
I am going to pull the motor shortly and detail the engine bay and motor so will have another look under at that time.

Quote from Jack65KCharles, Fred, ZRay, and so many others have been very helpful to me and I really appreciate getting some insight on what a NOS part might cost to help me make an informed decision as to whether to go with a NOS or a reproduction which might pass very well.
Thanks to all of you who choose to post here!

I bought my K at around the same time as Jack, from the same dealer as Jack, and what Jack says above will go for me too.
Thanks everyone.
Thanks Charlie
So is it a worthwile mod to fit the larger cylinders to improve the rear brakes ?
Fred
That review is very interesting.
I bought a couple of Magnaflow universal mufflers as a stopgap measure to get rid of the rattly mufflers I had.
My car is just a smidge too late for Arvinode - but you never know ![]()

I looked at mine again, there is a tab, but looks shorter than the ones in the pic and how it comes off the platform is different.
Also the outer end of the platform on Kenyons has an outward curve to it, whereas mine have an inward curve, like a scallop out of the platform.
I was trying to find out if mine were OEM, assuming Kenyon would not go to the trouble of rebilding a repro part - mine are not the same,
as the bushes need replacing I will try to source some correct ones.
In the first and last pictures there is a tab sticking up from the spring perch. What purpose did this have and was it on all OEM perches ?

To the naked eye they look like J's. Today I looked with a magnifying glass and I just cant tell.
They could well be incomplete D's, given the fact that you have seen a heck of a lot more of these than I have I think the D vote should get it.
Until another letter pops up ![]()
Have been working on the front suspension today and right on the end of the upper control arms on both sides of the car was a date code of J4. This seems to be at odds with the theory that the arms were dated by the quarter ie A, B, C, D. Just thought I would let you know.

Thanks to the archive feature I think I'm there
Thanks Mark
Thanks for the tip on the archive feature. I did not know about that.

I see that on the engine side of the firewall there is no sound deadener around the heater hole etc, do you plan to replace this?
On my car just above the heater hole there is a huge long sag in the paint, was this seen on cars ? or should I remove it when I detail the engine bay?
Thanks
