Wimbledon would be too creamy.

Yes, they are dated by month/day/plant

Have never tried that, but I suppose it's possible. With a rare car like a K code convertible, I would be hunting for a good parts car with a VIN(unit number) close to the K.

Hard to believe ebay has not shut down both of the auctions.

Believe you will be better off by simply looking for a good used door instead of a skin. NOS parts are just service replacement pieces, hardly ever held to the same quality standard as assembly line parts.

Heh, hope bob doesn't get too used to it!

It will cost more if the item is picked up at your house and delivered to the recipient's house. Otherwise, you'll need to put the item(s) on a pallet and take them to the terminal. Check with UPS/FedEx as they may offer oversize shipping for some items.

Oh... and if you start searching for an NOS white one with red lettering... be aware that some have MOTORCRAFT instead of the correct FoMoCo lettering. Some shady sellers will intentionally angle the pictures of their cannister so you can't see it says Motocraft.
-
I'm usually successful locating an NOS cannister to use on the super-nice show cars. Otherwise, repainting an original and using the red lettering decal works for most.

Black or phosphate/oil.

I've used white '65 interior paint. Seems to be a decent match.

Pretty sure the alternators on Mike's cars have the stamp on the bottom.

Need a good used '67 convertible driver side door glass. Must be original SUN-X tinted glass. Not for a show car, but would like a nice piece with no significant scratches or chips. Need asap.

Nice heads-up Fred!
Puzzled why that wheel would be in a FoMoCo box, doesn't seem right if it was a Shelby-only part. Possible forgery of the label?

I'm scared to think of the price that thing will end up at!

I also had problems with zul25.
Over-charged me $30 on shipping, sent a repro part as NOS and one item was used that was advertised as NOS.

On an October '64 San Jose car, you will either find red-oxide (variant shades) and/or black underneath.

No, just front aprons.
-
So the 'visible' VIN is not there, but you have the 2 rear inner fender VIN stamps? If so, I would suggest that the front apron has been replaced. Check for signs of replacement, like plug welds instead of spot welds.
