The deluxe wheel was part of the interior decor group in 65-66 and also a separate stand-alone option for standard interior cars. The wheel was not part of the K code or GT options.

Here's a reworked, VIN stamped "HiPo" 289 offered by eBay seller "jptfst664erp" with a Buy It Now price of $2000.00.

Ended at $9100, reserve not met. I'd say that should have been enough to buy the car.

I'd say a close tie between Kee and Robbins.

Most NOS lock sets will have the metal rings with the keys.
Have a friend whose grandfather bought a 64.5 convertible in the Spring of '64. He has the original key fob, which was one of those leather flip style that snaps the extra keys inside. Don't remember if it had the dealer logo on it.

I don't recall any specifics on those cars, but I can see a color difference between them. I guess when you've seen so many that you know what to look for.

-
The GT500 looks like the best representation of Dark Moss Green. The '67 fastback looks too dark, but could be a lighting issue.

If the color in the pics is true to the car, then it looks like Ivy Green to me.
-
Keep in mind there were several variations.

Lots of good information here. After reading this topic I am a bit confused as to a radiator I have. It has the round tabs on the top, with a plate soldered on one of the tabs. It reads C4ZE-M2 . There is no stamping in the top of the tank. There are no stampings in the side flanges either. So, is this a Dearborn-Metuchen or San Hose radiator?
Sounds like a Ford service replacement part.

Unless there is some major difference in the size and dimensions of the after-market radiator, they will usually pass in concours. I wouldn't give up looking for an original though.
-
I was told about a year ago that none of the after-market radiators were available w/out the cooling line fittings.
-
The radiator hoses on a V8 are larger than a 6cyl. Sorry, no cigar...

When my car went down the line to have the undercarriage painted I assume nothing was attached. Just the body. Maybe I can look under the gas tank and see the original paint.
The doors and trunk lid were attached and probably the rear valence panel (a few or all of the screws across the top only.)
Quote from garymcgowanAlso, did they use robots to paint the entire car, including the pinch welds?
I don't think the exterior of the cars was done by robots/fixtures, believe it was done by humans. The undercarriage was likely done with the fixtures since it didn't matter if there were runs or imperfections. They were just looking for a quick coverage. Would have been time-consuming to do with line workers, so it makes more sense.
If your car has had any undercarriage restoration work in the past, it will be difficult to determine what was done originally.

Gary:
Are you talking about the undercarriage? Is there a break between red-oxide and black at the break between the front of the car and the firewall? It seems to make sense that the gun fixtures that sprayed the undercarriage started spraying right as a line with the firewall to the ground began. This would minimized primer being sprayed through the engine bay and wasted. Starting to see more and more cars done like this. See different colors of primers and different shades of the same primer.

Most I have seen were applied with a paint gun, but have run across a few examples that were brush painted.

I'm now getting conflicting reports on the DEARBORN radiators: In this months Mustang Monthly there is a restorer guy whos name escapes me right now but he states that the DEARBORN radiators have the ROUNDED TABS on the top, and I'm hearing that this info is wrong....is there a repro/aftermarket/replacement unit that is close avalable?
Dearborn radiators do not have rounded tabs, here's a pic of a rebuilt original:

I am not aware of a replacement that looks anywhere close.
