This FoMoCo stamped distributor SOLD for $225.00.

DESCRIPTION:

Here we have a Fomoco Dual Point Distributor for a 289 High Performance engine, commonly used in Mustangs, Fairlanes, and Cyclones. This distributor is free of excessive wear, and the lobes are still crisp to snap both sets of points open as originally designed. No excessive play in the shaft, this unit has no visible signs of gouges or repairs, and can be used as is, but would certainly be a beautiful candidate for a classic restoration.

This unit, stamped with FoMoCo, has a factory part number of C50F-12127-E, and is dated 4G8 (shown in last photo). Standard distributors were equipped with a vacuum advance pod on the side, unlike these high performance units, which offered no vacuum advance. This unit has not been modified to disguise a removed vacuum unit. This is NOT a Motorcraft replacement - it's a gennie!

DESCRIPTION:

This distributor was purchased new from a Ford dealer in the mid-80's and run several thousand miles. The factory advance curve has not been revised. The bushings are very tight, the only thing required is fresh points/condensor/rotor/cap and drop it in. Why add wear and tear to your original distributor? More pics available on request. Unit sold as-is but is in very good condition.

It seems that BOSS/HiPo rods are turning up frequently on eBay these days. This set SOLD for $255.00

DESCRIPTION:

This is a matched set of Boss 302 Connecting Rods. They can also be used for 289 and HIPO 289 applications.

They are in excellent used condition. I purchased these NOS in 1985 and they have seen approx. 10K miles of use.

They were used with a balanced rotating assembly. The total rod weight is 585 grams. Rotary weight = 418 grams. Reciprocating = 167 grams.

Casting number is C3AE and the rods have the 3/8" bolts with the broached heads.

This original Ford Autolite distributor has been expertly rebuilt using all original Ford issued parts including: bushing, points, condensor, wiring, and o-ring seal. Breaker plate and screws have all been re-cadmium plated for that SHOW QUALITY look. This distributor has a "OF30" built date (service) but has the correct engineering number and "AUTOLITE" script on the side of the housing. If you're looking for an original HiPo distributor and the date is not important, this could be the one for you!

You might be on to something there, Billy. There are lots of eBay horror stories along with all the transactions which go through with no disappointments. Most of the time, we only hear about the bad auctions on the internet...

This is a good set of C3AE-D 289 HiPo rods with the factory 3/8" bolts. I picked this set up for backup on a recently completed engine overhaul, but I did not need to use any.

The cast iron manifold always get rusty with normal use...I wouldn't worry about it unless you want a concours-looking exhaust. There are manifold "dressings" that will give them a natural, gray look and won't burn off like paint often does. It is applied like tire dressing using a brush-like applicator, and needs touch ups after a while...The main problem that can happen to the cast iron is stress cracking, which is often the result of loosened or incorrectly torqued bolts.

Another set of original used manifolds SOLD for $228.19

DESCRIPTION:

This auction is for a pair of Ford Mustang HiPo Exhaust Manifolds. They should fit 1964-66 Mustang with 289. These will fit a 302 also. They are both in very good condition – they have been bead blasted so I could check for cracks. No cracks or other issues with these manifolds. This set SOLD for $242.50

DESCRIPTION:

You are bidding on a MATCHED set of Ford Boss 302 Connecting Rods.(No Reserve!!!) These will also fit High Performance 289's.

These rods have the factory "Football Head" 3/8" rod bolts and the extra strengthening rib at the shoulder towards the front of the rod. The casting number of these rods are C3AE.

These rods were honed on the small end to make them "Full Floating" so you do need to use pistons that use snap/circle rings on both sides.

The shoulders of the rods, next to the rod bolts, have been blended to help strengthen and lower windage! All rods are numbered on bottom of rods.

These rods are a Matched set and are balanced within +/- 2 grams. The rods have also been Manufluxed (No cracks found) and shot peened for strength!

DESCRIPTION:

Used original, unmolested Hi-po connecting rods for Ford 289, 271 hp engines. Part # C3OZ-6200-C and a casting # C3AE-D. These are a matched set of rods that came out of a 65 Mustang back in 1977. Rods have about 70K miles on them and are in excellent condition. They have not been worked on in any way. Completely original as the day they were installed at Ford, still marked with the factory yellow paint. Rod #5 looks as if it has been dipped or plated half way in copper (it is not rusted). This is the way it was when removed from engine. Do not know why it is like that. Sold as-is.
