Interesting price. Given that a left hand drive 66 K GT fastback has sold here in oz recently for $80K AUD, is $120K AUD a reasonable price? Definitely not for a right hand drive version and definitely not for a car with a minimum description such as that was given. SHould be interesting to watch though. It's not going to get $120K AUD on ebay, but it does have "Make an Offer" as well.

Wow, check out the BIN price!!!! Pity the owner doesn't ship to Australia, I would have bought it with BIN ![]()

Quote from 66transamSold for $27,000 by seller ponchojack.
That's bloody cheap!! What's wrong with it?

Congrats Andrew.
I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of the car. Maybe we'll see you one day at a Mustang Concourse.

Hi all.
Forgive me if this has been asked before.
What does the letter after the machining date mean? IE, what does the R mean in 5C11R?
Thanks,
RP
I have a left hand drive 65 with remote mirror. The left hand remote mirror lets the quarter window open fully, the right hand side is positioned such that the quarter doesn't open much. Sounds like the same problem you have. I assumed the right hand mirror was positioned incorrectly when the car was rebuilt, but I'm not sure.
Is this the case on anyone elses car for the right hand side mirror?

Quote from 41GPAWSThe interior lights in the quarter panel trims will not go off even after shutting the door what should I check for? They were working up until this afternoon. As always your help is appreciated.
Open one door at a time, press any release the button 4 or 5 times and see if that has any effect. If so replace the part. You can just pull it out of the door frame, it may just be as simple as pulling out the wire, giving it a clean and plugging it back in.
Hope this helps.

Rene

G'day Steve.
The best bet would be to get the K Bible, "The 289 High Performance Mustang", by Tony Gregory
This link tells you what's in the book:

You can order it here:

Quote from mustangjhi.how do you load pictures to this site? (mustang Exchange) jim
Hi Jim.
If you don't have a website yourself you will need a site to upload your photos to. There are plenty of free ones on the web. I use the following:
Once you pics are uploaded it will show a bunch of links to insert it into a forum. Click the contents of the box with the title:
IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards ( it should contain IMG ahead of the file name and /IMG after the file name, both in square brackets)
and copy and paste it to the forum you want to display the picture in. If after you inserted the text and press "Preview" the picture shows up you have done it correctly. If the picture isn't shown you have one something incorrectly. Just follow the steps again, but you should be pretty right.
Hope this helps.

René

Yoks are made in the US? I guess I need to research before I reply [Blocked Image: http://i12.tinypic.com/6omt5z4.jpg]
Just noticed how many posts I've done, 289, cool!!!
Quote from BoSIf you aren't too worried about originality
Hi Bo.
If you mean not worried as in drilling new holes, I definitely don't want to do anything like that. Whatever I do, I want it to be a reversible option.
Thanks for the info.

René
Quote from 66KGTLook to be nice tires but I can't pull myself to putting made overseas tires on my pride and joy. For you guys over there in the land down under I guess overseas doesn't mean the same thing....
Everything is overseas for me
There really weren't any options other than these at the time. Couldn't find a Diamond Back and Corker's were only Bias Ply, not radials, so Yokohama it was. They were made in the USA, so the K can live with it.

Hi all.
I would like to lower my kar's nose by 1". I've done a forum search and found nothing, so I was wondering how I go about this, and what parts I need?
Are there Shelby parts that I can use? I have to use 1965 parts as my kar has historic registration in Australia.
Is the Shelby front sway bar thicker than the K? If so, would it give the kar a better ride?
Thanks.
Regards,
René
Hi all.
Here's the original discussion when I was buying the tires:
These tires make the kar drive so much better than the 185's I had on before. Some people have asked me for pics of these tires when on my kar, so here they are:
