Someone is selling what they call an NOS HIPO fan on Ebay right now if anyone needs one, its pictured with its original box, with the correct part nember on it, I am curious as to where the $$ will go??

-just do a search for "1965 Mustang nos" not mine, but I thought I'd pass the info along!

    Here's the link: Ebay Link

It's a bit odd that there is no reserve on something that if genuine (not saying it isn't) would be over $1000.

I did see one advertised in their add in Unique Cars for 60K. Will try to find out some more details, 60K is to rich for me though.

    Chris

IMHO it's a ridiculous price for a car that needs a full resto.

Found this one at Mustangs of Melbourne. Go to the link and click on "Born Again" Not much to go on, do any of the other Aussie members know anything about the car? I'm heading home to Oz tomorrow night for 1 months leave, I will try to get some additional info and post on the site. http://www.mustangsofmelbourne.com.au/

    Chris

    Hey Chris.

I believe that may be the owners car. I spoke to him last year and he said he had a 66 K code that needed restoration, but he didn't have the time. Looks like he found it.

They did have (not sure if they still have) a 65 or 66 K code Fastback that needed a full restoration and they had a price of $60K AUD on it.

    Hi Ron.

Mate, that's a great car and equally great description. I'm interested in the buck tag as my K is from the same plant but with an April build and doesn't have a buck tag on it.

I love the colour. Had it been around when I bought mine, I would have loved it in that colour. I wish you the best of luck with your sale.

    Best regards,

    René

I'm from Australia and have bought wheels through this site. I can't speak for how the shipping was handled, but I payed for the wheels with Paypal.

I bought the wheels from Steve. His username is 65gt. Drop him a line, I'm sure he'll give you all the info you need.

Mate at the end of the day it's your car. Whatever you did to the car you did for you and no one else and not for resale purposes. There's a buyer for everything. You put a price on that you think is right and it goes from there. If you think 53 or 58 is your starting point, well that's what it is. If someone is interested in the car they will get in touch and then starts the negotiations. You have been upfront with everything you've done, so I see no issues at all. I think what you've said is right, it's the drivetrain that makes the car, the rest is cosmetic, after all it's not like you've put huge wings on the car, flared the guards or tried to turn it into a Shelby.

If you go ahead with the sale, good luck with it. I'm looking forward to seeing the pics.

I have found that the easiest solution for the turn signal lever is to take the stock lever and shorten it by 1 3/4". You can find a gunsmith or competent machine shop that will do it for you and then you won't be banging your knuckles on a bent lever:)

I take it you have one of these wheels on your car Dave?

    RP

Got some info from Cobranda regarding the wheel.

The concourse wheel (b above) doesn't turn of the turn signal after a turn. You also have to bend the signal lever.

The other wheel (a above) has a working horn button. No mention was made of this for the concourse wheel. Both wheels are unavailable and they don't know when new stock will come in.

Looks like I'm sticking to the original wheel

    Sorry guys I'm new

Don't be sorry Pala. Not everyone's an expert. I for one am definitely not. That's why I come here, to learn and on more than one occasion, ask stupid questions, which yours is not.

    Hi all.

My car is historically registered which means I can only put parts on the car that were available in 1965.

I'd love to put a Moto-Lita Shelby GT350 Wood wheel on my car instead of the 'thin' Pony wheel.

Here's what I want to know from my fellow forumermers:

    1. What is the general consensus of my thinking? (I know it's my car etc.)

    2. If I go ahead, which wheel setup should I go with?

    a) From Tony Branda, wheel with the mustang logo SWE4.

    or

    b) From Tony Branda, concourse wheel with the cobra logo.

I'm not sure I like the SWE4 logo, it appears to have a white background (surely that's not correct is it?), but I'm not sure I want a Cobra Logo either, I'm not trying to Shelbyerise my car, just put a nice period correct Moto-Lita wood wheel on it.

    Thanks, I await your replies.

    Hi Tony.

My car went to my mechanic today to get the clutch problem sorted out. It turned out that my Equalizer bar is cracked and the bushes have totally died. I have to replace the complete Equalizer Bar and the associated parts. Have a look under your car. If you grab the Equalizer and shake it around and it moves, that may be your problem as well.

First, thanks for the orders. A bit of a spike the last few days, which is very helpful.

Yes, I do ship to Australia, but it is expensive ($38.95). It must go by Air Mail (6-10 days). I charge only what it costs me.

How do I order one copy?

    Regards,

    René

    Hi Jim.

I understand ever country/state has different laws and regulations. All I'm trying to find out is if someone has put a child seat in a Fastback and how they did the anchor point. You'll be happy to know, my K is left hand drive and can legally be driven without seatbelts.

    Thanks though.
