Keep in mind that although this is a 3939-S and NOT a button top, it is NOT correct for a 1965 model. Both the casting of CARTER and the date code of April 19, 1979 take it out of contention for being correct. The correct casting will be CARbureTER Made in USA. This non button top casting is the last hurrah for Ford replacement 3939-S fuel pumps. However it is as designed by Ford for a Hipo 289 with dual return springs and therefore is functionally correct.

This is a fairly nice used trunk mat that fits 65-66 Mustangs with either Coupe or Convertible body style. Can be trimmed to fit fastbacks. There is a 1/2" hole and a small area with light scratches on the plaid surface, but good usable piece. Still pliable. I'm including the trunk mat box but will not fold the mat up and ship inside this box in fear it will create additional holes or cracks from folding it. I will roll it and ship in another box with Ford box folded on the inside.

I would not hesitate to give it a slight scuffing & using it as is.

Ring gear shows small amount of wear, but looks good & is perfectly usable - 160 tooth count. (replacement ring gears are & have always been 157 teeth)
