New Old Stock - Genuine Ford - Dual Exhaust "Trumpets" for the 1965-1966 Mustang GT. There is one left & one right.

These original Ford exhaust tips are in good - NOS - condition - but showing some surface rusting on the steel pipes. One has scratches & dings that encircle the stainless trumpet end (photos #4 thru 9). That same pipe also has scratches on the black louver (photos #11, 12, 13). Each pipe is stamped with a Ford engineering #. They have never been installed on a vehicle. Both original boxes are in very rough condition.

Here we have a average used 8000 RPM Low Profile Rally Pac for a 1965-66 Mustang. This low profile version of the Rally Pac (combination tachometer and clock) was introduced to accommodate the five gauge instrumentation in the new '65 GT option groups. The electrical tachometer is ignition points powered measuring current flow and the clock also uses points with a 12 / 24 hour face.

We chose to offer this Rally Pac in need of rebuild as it has been sitting countless years. That way we are sure we're selling you a unit that might need some attention or cleaning. We found the RPM gauge to be free moving a sign of functionality (see photos) although the clock which was functional could be unpredictable with the point design. The clock has been cleaned and reconditioned to bring this piece to driver car quality. The body and casing, as well as glass bezels are all in nice condition. We see no signs of case damage, cracks, or other quality issues.

Also included is an bottom bracket and wiring. You will need a Rally Pac dash installation harness !This Rally-Pac would certainly be a nice addition to that 5 gauge instrument cluster, to give it that nice performance look.

Here we have an extremely rare NOS early factory Blow Proof COBRA small block 5 bolt manual shift Bell housing for a 4 speed Ford Toploader or Super T 10 standard Shift Transmission. Ford cast the earlier small block motors with 5 mounting holes and 2 alignment pin holes at the back of blocks where the bell housing fastens. A very rare piece for this specific application this bell housing works for the Top loader or T10 4 speed or a T5 5 speed and Perfect for that A/C Cobra and we believe its New.

This small block bell housing is just what's needed to bolt your transmission to that early Ford 221, 260, or 289 with the early 5 bolt pattern on the back of the block. Colored in what we believe is the original color there are no reason not to believe it is not new a unrestored survivor. Rarer than rare surely a special part for a really valueable car I hope a fellow restorer helps it find the right home. Shelby Cobra Scatter Shield Standard Shift Transmission Bellhousing | eBay

The five bolt design safety steel bell housings marked COBRA were painted a couple of different colors of silver depending on time period. Painting was done to the exterior only before any machine work was done to the castings. There was not a single casting version but a family for them started by Shelby American in 1963 for their racing Cobras and carried on by Ford Motor Company as over the counter accessories for several years.

The first two versions were created for Shelby American and have no Ford engineering number on them. The four other COBRA versions had Ford numbers on them. The maker also produced them under their own brand name and there was a version for Sunbeam Tigers. Dearborn Steel Tubing Company individually packaged parts for Ford and shipped them as required. Boxes with new old stock parts inside had a shipping label on them from Dearborn Steel Tubing Company but that is not who made them.

Here we have a mis matched pair of Ford 289 High-performance heads brought to us from one of our recent buyouts. The 289 Hipo motor was the best Ford had to offer in the earlier model Shelby Mustangs and Fairlaines. The Shelby GT 350 and all K model Mustangs as well as Hipo Fairlanes all used these 271 HP motors. A stronger better design these are a Cobra must. All the Hipo characteristics are present as seen in the photos. You can clearly see the recessed valve saddles and of course factory screw in studs in the one with a 19 on it a Feb 25th 1966. Of course, these heads can be purchased individually or as a pair and yes we buy if you have a single to sell let us know .

The complete casting of the 289 hipo has a 19 on the corner and is dated 6B25 . The other heads while cast with the valve seats is bare and has a 20 on the outer corner. On the top corner there's a pronounced 4V on the 67 with a 7F1 on the C8OE on both the top and bottom sides. These heads are nice with clean castings which is uncommon in these high revving motors. There are no signs of cracks, welds or porting although they should be serviced before installed.

Having 3 different K code cars we decided we are going to turn it loose verses building it for one of these cars which you will see this week on eBay and are also available at Mustang Masters

We are offering this, an original 289 HiPo motor with a block dated 5E8 and casting number C5AE-6015-E! The HiPo 289 motor was available from 64 to 67 and came with many high-performance modifications to handle the increased horsepower of 271 HP, although Ford underrated the motor, and many agree it pumped out closer to 305 HP.

We removed the pair of recently serviced 289 hipo heads dated 5D25 and 5D27 both of which have a great footprint showing lots of life not cut from multiple rebuilds. They have the raised spring seats and are stamped on the corners

You will find to have a new set of pistons and a clean 30 over bore. We found no signs of cracks, welds, or repairs to the block. The clean cylinders with no ridge and forged pistons represent a past rebuild and since the owner passed I cannot verify how long ago it was. The crankshaft has a Ford tested brindle mark assuring its steel consistency.

The cast iron 4 barrel intake is dated 5E13 and is offered with the 1 inch factory spacer with the non functional PCV nipple its solid. We have also included a service replacement factory C5 Dual point distributor and a replacement hipo 289 112 CFM 4 barrel carburetor which was added along with a set of the factory chrome valve covers for the owner adding a 289 Hipo to their K code car. We offer this as a used unit so no Guarantee will be offered it is sold as is

The pistons and crankshaft move freely without excessive drag and upon inspection, this motor has the C3AE D HiPo rods which were machined to take 3/8ths studs instead of the regular 5/16ths, which is indicated by the 9/16ths nuts on the end of the rods (see photo).

It also has the thick HiPo blancer and the much desired HiPo main caps! You will also find a set of weathered original exhaust manifolds all f which is period correct

Do you have a regular 289 motor in that Mustang and are considering keeping the same cid size but want more horsepower and durability? This 289 HiPo block is just the ticket to turning that regular 289 Mustang to a hard charging street machine. Don't let this auction pass you by!

If the vibration is strictly only when applying the brakes, it is likely that you have hard spots on the drums from heating of the shoes against the drums upon hard braking. This is a common problem with both drum and disc brakes. A balance problem will show up at different speeds regardless of whether you are braking or not.

Listed as used, but maybe it has not actually been used - the clutch fork pivot appears unused, the transmission seating surface has no makings whatsoever & the threads look absolutely perfect & unused.

Was fitted to an engine destined for vintage road racing, but engine was sold w/o the bellhousing. The factory right dowel hole was drilled slightly off from the factory (fairly common on these for those that do check it) & was corrected.

(see pictures).

Has the dual transmission bolt pattern allowing use of either the earlier or 65+ transmissions. This allows you to mix & match as necessary (like using the original narrow transmission in a car that you want to run a 6 bolt block - 289 Cobra or ? ) Matching reproduction block plate included.

A rare find nowadays that will work on any 65 & up SBF & a great finishing touch to your GT350, GT350R, real or top tier clone or for the 289 Cobra using a 6 bolt block.
