Have seen and had a set of 63 Hipo cylinder heads that had a rail repair on them.The repair was finished much nicer then block but wouldn't think it was uncommon for either or to get out the door.

Have a NOS 10.5 clutch disc $125 and pair of rear end 9 inch U-Bolts $50 and some rear spring clamps $25.All parts are unused

My father was a combat pilot in WW2 and these guys are different men then of today.Things meant something and thought of different then men or people look at them today.He's been gone for 5 years now but I always had an appreciation for what these guys did and sad to say there are getting fewer by the day!

There are many different understandings on paint and if that is him taking the car apart and repainting and putting it back together that is a deal.However make sure you get the work list in writing as if something happens you want to be able to have a path to follow afterwards.

The year you stated is about the time they were building 66 model cars.Check the usual assembly dates on heads,deck,data plate etc.and find out if it's that late as it might have been painted blue.If not look under the blue to see if there is any black paint.

When you order parts Ford has always made the left side drivers side.Now what date number goes where as the last original Dearborn 65 GT I seen the oldest was on the passenger side?

I was reading this topic and see where the spring with oldest date question wasn't answered so I wanted to ask it again.Is this referenced as the drivers side being the left side and passenger the right side where the oldest spring is put?

The original installed ones on Mustangs were left natural and the over the counter parts were painted.Ford didn't want rust on new parts they sold over the counter is why most are painted.
