sorry, hit the wrong key. Here's the info:
car completely apart. Have incorrect block. Have too many parts to list for it as I have collected them for years. Many NOS parts. I'm thining the herd to retire and travel and I won't be finishing some of them. Body is rust free but is dented and dinged a bit. has been dipped and primered and is sitting on wheels but it is a big project. I have most everything to complete it except the time.

DOH!
Is this a Ford part? I've had plenty of limiteds apart and so have my buddies here and none of us has ever seen this before. Maybe we are just deprived......
no takers on the pic posting???
Yes, it is at the top. What is an LSD centre?
Original 65 GT350 9" bare housing with something attached inside that reminds me of an oil scraper. Mounted to the inside by 2 of the carrier studs, it is a piece of folded steel that could be used to oil what? never seen or heard of anything like it. It is well made, not likely a home made piece. I am no good at posting pics but I have 2 that I could email to someone who is for posting. These were locker units. Anyone know what the heck this is? Goldy

I will take it. Do you have the brackets?
Shoot me your address again and I will send money order along with those fender flags. Rain this week gives me free time. Goldy
He was actually quite a gentleman. I am the one who told him of the error. He thanked me and imediatly stopped the auction and asked for a pic of a real fan. I was only trying to help him, not bash him and he realized it. He may well have been the one who got burned. At least he did the right thing.
I think I have a set. I'll dig and send you pix if I find them.

My 64.5 coupe has a July 9 build date on the original door tag but the sheet metal shows all late July dates. The latest being 7-29 that I could find. Is it possible that Ford was that far behind? The car has been apart for years but the metal is original. The numbers were taken from the cowl area and inner fender parts, not fenders, doors etc. What is the explanation?
try Krylon #1613 satin black for the eng bay. It is spot on and very easy to touch up after you bang that eng into it. Runs etc can be easily applied. I like the do it yourself style and am always satisfied with coverage and sheen.
pulleys and such I try to use Plasticoat semi-gloss and brackets and braces that were dipped originally a quality gloss black applied heavy looks outstanding.
This has worked for me. Goldy
In 1964, The Fastbacks, a bunch of Ford engineers, went racing with a 1965 HiPo fastback. 289, auto, and it was ran in D/SA. One of those engineers was Jack Roush. It held both 'ends' of the national record when it was purchased by my friend who raced for Ricart Ford as one of the 'Lively Ones'. The other Lively One was a 64 427 auto Galaxie that was bought from the Fastbacks at the same time by my friends brother. It was also a record holder at that time. I helped push those cars up and down the staging lanes more than once. I don't believe I ever saw another 65 HP with an automatic in it but if you are a Ford engineer I guess you can put anything in the books. Anyway, that's how it ran and that's how it was classed by NHRA. We didn't have an AHRA track near us so I don't know about them. I believe Marv has met my friend when in Columbus.
