Is the fluid level correct? When was the last time the trans fluid was changed? Sometimes fluid issues can cause shifting problems.

The other thing I wondered about when viewing this carb was the presence of the anti-stall dashpot which would be found on a carb designed for an automatic transmission equipped car and not a 4spd. It could have been added I suppose.

Carb also has an automatic choke.

What an "exhausting" experience it is to buy a new computer and not be able to log onto a site or two because of password issues. Such was the case with the eKschange. I had my password "remembered" for this particular site but actually forgot what it was myself! I usually have these written down in a safe place somewhere but I couldn't find this one. No problem, just click on "forgot password" and all will be fine. That was not the answer! I have 2 email addresses and the password link was not being sent to either. To make a VERY long story much shorter, I had to start from scratch with a new user name (old was SHELB66) AND use my wife's email address just to get back on the site and be able to contribute! Won't she be surprised! I couldn't even find a way to post a PLEASE HELP ME message since you can't post unless you are registered! Don't know what the problem was but it's nice to be back! Anyone have similar issues? I would really like to log on using my old user info if that is possible. Thanks much!
