C3AE-D is the correct casting number for hipo rods. Looks like the real thing to me. Being who the seller is I'm sure they have a pretty reserve.

I have never seen a non-star set of plugs sell for this silly money.
Sold for $285.69 by seller amk_products
QuoteNOS Ford C0AZ-12405-A "Autolite" spark plugs BF-32.
Auction is for a box containing 10 pcs.
Question and answer:
QuoteQ: Dear Mr. Kotlowski, Please verify that these sparkplugs carry the FoMoCo star emblem. Thank you, Frank Makowski Apr-28-08
A: They do not. The boxes are date coded 1-20-1968. The star is earlier probably 1960-66. I did notice that the lettering is more bold and clear than 1970-71 made plugs.

If you can verify the doors are original and have no signs of a mirror I would leave it as is.

Thanks for the info. Doesn't help my quest to verify a 66 Dearborn kar. Hard to see any color in either of the stripes. One thing for sure is it doesn't match what is listed in the book. 2 purple/1 pink doesn't appear to be what anyone else has found on their kar...

This letter contradicts what is published in the 4th edition of the book.
"In 1965, there were 7,273 HiPo Mustangs manufactured; excluding Shelbys."
-
As Charles said it can be either but they should all be installed in the same direction.

Well..... I knew you were in KY somewhere.... couldn't remember where for sure, I'm getting feeble in the brain in my old age.... LOL....

Since when does Holley rebuild Autolite carbs?

can't help on the numbers but should be small bearing...

I think C7ZZ-F lives close to there...
-
Nice pair of cars. Looking forward to more pics of the K!

Dig the reinforcement plates welded between the frame rails and front crossmember.
-
66's had a different center than the 65 kars...
-
Are the orange ones C3AE-D and the yellow ones just C3AE?
I think the yellow ones are Boss rods.

Happy sixth! Great job guys...

While my connectors feel solid I'm gonna check again, perhaps there is hope for the repros yet...

Don't buy the cheap one. If NPD is out of stock try Virginia Mustang...

Neither are correct for "from the factory". Original would have been painted block color. Which one to choose.... well, that depends on when the first oil change was and how many filters the dealer had in stock. I would expect to see the red one on a 65, even as late as yours.
The hardest part in matching original is the double crimp which both have. I don't know where you can find any readily available aftermarket filters. I for one would like to find a source for these at less cost than the repos offered just to paint block color. $30 for what is probably a substandard oil filter is ludicrous.

Ok, since I am not at work today I sent myself an email to remind myself to bring home the templates. Hopefully I will have a scan for you Monday.
Sorry I am so absent minded....

I have an HEH-P tranny with a 28 spline shaft which also feels like a close ratio. I believe the guts were swapped from the original BX tranny from my kar...
It is for sale if anyone is interested.
