This morning I was going through the archives. Numorous times I wanted to see a pick of the kar being talked about only to find an outdated ebay or craigslist link.
Here is my suggestion whenever posting an ebay Kar link also make sure to included a seperate picture of it Kar for future reference.
I hope I am not overstepping any kind of authority here and sorry if I did.![]()

Once again Thank you for the info.

Charles,
Question about the Mustang letters. Did they all come stick on or were did some come with the pins? I have been looking for awhile but only come across the stick on ones. Which are correct, if there are two types ?
Thanks
Mike
Here is a kar project for sale on ebay that might be worth watching.Sounds like yours may be further along though.

Hey Troy,I am know were near ready but what would something like that cost?

That is so cool.
I can't beleive you started this thread.I have been seriously thinking about testing the waters on what my car is worth.I just started with the resto and collecting a few missing parts when My wife lost her job in Jan.. I (cabinetmaker) have been real slow for the past 2 years (also battling some health issues). Now I am doing all I can to keep the house and keep my financial problems from effecting my two daughters.I have been selling off other cars I had but the K is the only one left that is worth anything substantial .I really thought I would own have this car for the rest of my life.Somethings got to give soon or the K will be moving on.

A buddy of mine was one of the guys that got this car running again back in the eighties.I'll see if he will give me any pictures of it when they woke it up after 17 yrs.Said it did not take much to get her going. For a guy who only likes a few American cars this one made a big impression.
That's not just mean it's KRUEL
I have been going back and forth myself. My car came with a black pony interior and no console.I have always liked the way the console looks and purchased one last year to install when the time comes. But at Carlisle last year I really liked the way the Cobra Jets looked without consoles.I have a way to go before I need to make a decision.
In the case of your car I think the console is the way to go.A black interior can be spartan and still look good.I think your interior is very classy and the console just adds to it.Its one of the nicest I seen, anywhere.

I am starting to think I may have to go that way.I have a friend that restores vintage race cars and he says he can duplicate it but I REALLY wanted orginal ones.
thanks

Still looking. Anybody?
I found out last week that I was mising the crush tubes in the rear frame rails of my 66 hipo. After talking with the the restorer today it seams my frame rails where replaced at some point. It is my understanding all k-cars came with these brackets(for the dual exhaust). While the car is apart I would like to restore it back to orginal.
Does anyone have or know were I can get these?
Thanks
mike
