He clearly says it is the original front clip! I am sure it was a error at the plant. It is as a GT also like he said because it has hangers. As we all know, every part on ebay was off a Hipo, GT or Shelby. (Yes this is scarcasum)

They are makeing crate Boss 302's now. Might be a wonderful fit for a Kit car. ( Yes I know it will "fit")

That was it 429scott, you have to open up that hole. That is what I was thinking about when I was talking about cutting a hole.
-
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I read somewhere you just have to cut a small hole to accomidate something?

Is anyone aware of of somone who stamps alternators or sells a decal? I have a nice original 65 alt and just swapped guts on it so it works like a charm. I just don't feel like paying $150 to $200 for a repop when I have ther real deal.

I would think as long as you had all the parts saved and stored properly, that nobody would mind. In a way your just saveing wear and tare on hard to find and costly parts. (The nobody I would be refering to would be the future next owner.) Besides your talking about stuff that would take a few hours and a wrench to put back on.
You said that this was going to be a fun car so have fun with it and enjoy it.
just my 2pennies

I have conflicting info on what is correct.
I found in Virginia Mustang catalog that the pulley was painted black on early 65's.
MCA said nothing about the pulley color and NVSACC said Zink, clad or gold.
I know my fan was black but anyone with an early 65 confirm this or was it a typo.
Thanks!

Dave when you get back to town you mind shooting me an email? I have the Osborne book but can not make heads or tails on the emergency flasher.
Thanks,
