It was a Dearborn Sept 28 289 C code with a 4 speed. If any other info is needed please let me know. I need to fill in the XXX-x

My car is the only thing I pack rat stuff. Unless it is smashed or rusted out and damaged beyond hopes of repair it goes in my save box tagged to what it is and where it came from.

I would say Pagoda Green has to be at the top of the list. I had a an end of April 64.5 D code auto that was that color. You loved it or hated it, there was no it was OK.
Your car, do as you wish. As far as selling it, you have to hope any changes you make are a plus to the buyer, as with any thing I guess.

A: Great question, I did not see the numbers at first. They are located on one of the side rails. It has DEP C4ZE 8005 G1 5EB. Hope this helps and good luck!

Thanks for posting the unrestored pictures. I only stamp what I can see and did not see a date stamp on my Alt. I will fix that.
It also seems I have to much paint in the belt area. I will take some steel wool and knock it back a bit.

It says 15v55a c5af-10300-B Neg under the Autolight.
That was exactly what was on the original and I could see no other stamping.

I have a question about Data plates.
I want to use my original Data plate with my car, however during the last paint job by the former owner it is now all one color.
I know that places that can restamp a plate, NOT WANTING TO GO THERE OR STIR UP THAT DEBATE but is there anywhere that will rescreen an original data plate? Thus keeping it original as possible.

Richard haha, it was not that bad. I tried to put it together and was HOW did they get that thing in there? Then I re-read the artical and realised you have to use a paper clip to hold the brushes back to asseble the unit, as was clearly stated in the artical.
Mustang How to Volume 2 has a chapter on re-gutting an Alt. If I can do it, anyone can. Very simple. Only thing to remember is you need a Paper Clip!
Now keep in mind, my 2+2 is not a 100 point Trailer Queen, but I do strive for correctness.
I went to 5 auto stores with my amber turn signal lens, and bought a rattle can that was closest to it. Ended up at NAPA. I used Permatex Gasket remover to eat off the black paint, cleaned it,then stood back and lightly misted the center area. I then came over it with some clear before it dried.
I found my original case at a friends farm sitting on a pile of junk from his grandpa's 65 mustang. When I got home and dusted off the case, I saw the faded original stamp.
After media blasting up the case, I swapped guts from a donor Alt from NAPA, stripped off the black paint on the center section "ribs" and repainting them amber, and restamped it EXACTLY where the stamp was (If you held it at an angle to the light and your mouth just right you could still see the original stamp).
The stamp was on top. Just like the AMK repop on their web site.

I would take it up with Pay-Pal but I bet you as soon as he offers you a refund they will tell you to send it to him for a refund. There is not much you can really do about it other then eat it,take a chance on your $ back or trade negitave feedback.
Here is another PCV from the same guy. Picture and clear this time at least.
