kar-nut you got me curious. I looked at 2 original data plates I have. The 1st one is from car 5t07t189XXX, may it RIP. It has the G on it and a fatter FORD logo on it. The second tag is the original on my car 5F09C303XXX. It does not have the G and the ford looks thiner.

My C code Sept 28 Dearborn is a 2 holer on the pass side just like 65K09's picture. Original screws and just a tid bit of tire left. I have a wonderful tire that did not hold air with a hoot, gonna get my revenge on it. And I will sell straps buy it now for 1/2 his price

How long is that strap?
I also have 1 hole on the other side but that is for that metal A/C strap.

Most of what Laurel Mountain Mustang sells is wonderful for a driver or resell car. They also have very good deals through Ebay. However for a show car I would pass most of the time.

Kurt did my carb and it works flawless. Bad luck I guess.
I sent it to him because he took the time to help and talk to me. Every time I dealt with PONY CARBS were jerks.

Charles,
Early fastback or coupe?
Thanks

I have an early 65 fastback (sept 28) I know 100% for a fact it had the vinyl on the side of the carpet like in a 64 1/2. However the original carpet was gone as the interior was changed to black.
I located a set of original side vinyl from a 64 coupe in my interior color and it is in wonderful condition. I would like my car to go back the way it should be.
I talked to Virginia Mustang (as they are the only ones I found who offer the 64 carpet) and they indicated that early fastbacks had toe pads on the carpet and could have possibly had the vinyl sides.
Can I get an expert (gold judge) to chime in on this one; I just need to know if it is possible to have a toe pad and the side vinyl. If so I will take my carpet I have for my fastback and have it cut and hemmed to be correct and use the vinyl sides.

64-66 rocker panel molding for the black stripes use flat black?
-
I am sure there is an odd ball out there but according to my guide in 65 here was the interior with a P Prairie Bronze paint code.
26 Black std.
29 Palamino (mine and the other car I know of)
D6 White with black std
D9 White with palamino
66 Black Delux
69 Palamino Delux
F6 White with black Delux
F9 White with palamino
I am guessing that the two Palamino were the white/palamino vs palamino with white/palamino being rarer.

For 64.5, 65 and 66 I do not believe so.
However I know of two..now three. Mine a C code the other a K code. Make that the other two a k code. I have noticed a few hard tops and 1 rag top on ebay lately.

I may have anwsered my question here. I found a web site http://www.fordification.com/engineIDtags.htm
557 289 F-2 '64-'66 - w/ 3 or 4-spd M/T
'67 - w/3-spd, 4-spd or overdrive M/T
(Other possible applications unavailable)
The F2 = 2 barrel thus a C code.
Does this look correct to anyone else?
