He rebuilt my PS set up this last Winter. When I would start to leave a message sometimes he would pick up. He is sometimes hard to catch.

My Sept 28 Dearborn fastback has the cable but has a ton of other early stuff. Hope that helps.

Not to be a smart a$$ but the tag.
On the AW it is for PS cars. The AX is used with cars with out PS but with the steering packace which was standard on Hipo's and GT's. If memory serves it knocks off 1/2 a turn from full left to full right.

When I called Pony a year or so ago they would not sell me their choke parts unless I sent in my working carb for a $500 rebuild. I ended up useing parts off a 69 truck 2100. Works like a charm.
Glad to see someone reproduce this as a kit for the Do-it-yourself person.

There was some words in the upper left hand corner of the new Ebay Motors that said something like "go back to the old Ebay Motors" or something like that. It was near the Ebay symbol. It took me back to the original style search function page. If you clicked on an auction it was in the new format however. I did not care about the auctions as I just hated the new ebay's search function and wanted back the old one.
I hope that helps.

I am looking at the "old system" now and searching for parts.

I was foced to change over but I found a button that allowed me to revert back to the old ebay.
I agree the new one is much harder to find parts.

Fred, Sorry I was talking general use of road tube VS PCV. Indeed the Hipo is diffrent because of the exhaust manifold size on the Hipo. Falcons and Coments use a diffrent one then the rest of the cars also.

It was not just K codes but all Ford v8's that were not sold in CA "might" have the tube insted of a PCV valve.
This is being discussed over at VMF http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/showtopic.php?tid/1506699/tp/1/

Yes, Sorry I ment to agree with what your saying. And ment to add that this was just not a K item that GT's would also have it, therefore possibly increasing its demand with people wanting to make a GT.
Hope you did not take it the wrong way.
-
Would people creating GT out of an A code not use this? I believe this was addressed here that they did have them. Now I can see more of a demand.

Brant,
Thanks for the photos. Sorry if it seemed I was saying you and VA mustang were incorrect. I do see something interesting. Your car is JAN 65 and SJ build. Most of the cars and owners I was talking to were 64 Dearborn.
Here is a picture of a Nov 24 64 un touched Dearborn coupe. Mine is Sept 28 64.

Maby the SJ or Jan has something to do with the toe pad starting to show up possibly?

Charles,
Yes I forgot that option. However VA mustang (Super company, I order a lot of stuff from them) insist that the fastback carpet has a toe pad. You and I have talked this on VMF. I believe the consenious was if it was surged then no toe pad. Again you can just cut the toe pad off.
Also discussed was people should consider ordering the mass back carpet. Anything less then a driver or resell car you will be disapointed in the quality and fit. Ordering a set of 64 1/2 FASTBACk carpet with folddowns and in mass back form ACC direct will run @ $350 direct from them. Possibly cheaper though a mustang shop.
I should have stated I had a very nice set of mass backed fastback carpet to start with. I got a deal on it and it was 65 style but correct color so I jumped on it cut to toe pad off and got it surged for a lot less then $350.

My fastback has the 64.5 carptet as well. What you can do is get 65 fastback carpet, cut off the toe pad then cut the sides and get the sides "surged" by a upolstery or carpet shop to look correct, that is what I have done. OR as others have said you can get coupe carpet and cut the rear section to fit. The above is easier. After useing some carpet cleaner and a steamer I could not tell where the toe pad was and yes I was freaking out when I did it.

I think you will just need to use the matching year outer tie rods.
I am sure I will get corrected if I am wrong.
-
My HEH-T was built April 1 65
-
Depending on the date code, I may be interested in that 4 speed if you want to sell it.
-
Paxton would be more "correct" then the Pony carb 3x2 as they use Autolite 2100's not Holly..if that makes a diffrence.
If I had the cash I would go with a Paxton.
