Hi, the rally pac that i have has not been restored and it has chromed hoods on it. Maybe a factory error?? or maybe someone removed the paint years ago. I have no idea.

There is a diff. between the timing chain covers for the alum. and cast iron water pumps. The timing chain cover you have is for up to level 6 on the 289. Level 7 changes were done in march or may of 65 this is when ford switched the timing chain cover so a cast iron water pump could be used. I dont have a good one at this time. But get on to ebay and find one that looks just like yours (pay closed attn. to the water pump area) I had the smame thing happen, Its enuf to make you pull your hair out and i dont have that much anymore.

Would like to find out the diff. about the early 65 rally pacs. i have seen three differant ones. I have been told that the ones that say ford on them were over the counter and the ones that say mustang on them are factory. But my question is about the hoods on them? i have seen the more common black krikle type and then there is the chrome type hood. when did the factory use the chrome hooded ones. Can anybody out there help me on this one.

Hi Im new around here and hope to gain some insite and know how about the k code mustang. I have an early 65 fasback 10k64 that im slowly trying to put back together for the last 16 years. Something tells me by reading the form that im in the right spot for the right help.

Hi im new to this form so please forgive any mistakes. I have a radiator that has Y1 C55 stamped at the end of the C4ZE number. Can anyone tell me what the Y1 is for? ive seen about the Y2 and G2 and im a little lost. Can anyone help on this one. Many Thanks
