How many miles are on that survivor Zray? It seems like you use and enjoy it!

After getting new Eaton springs, anything I should do before placing them in service to keep them looking new on a driven car?

What about the 930 automatic Hertz cars that certainly would have been included in the Ford numbers? I think this discounts that number.

I don't believe any of the Shelby cars were included in the 5469 K codes produced for 1966. They had their own Shelby VIN's.

Shelby Mustangs have Ford VIN numbers as well as Shelby assigned VIN numbers.

I know a couple Shelbys in the 300 number range that have the 4201, so I would say that one.

What makes it better than cheap old WD40? The thing I haven't liked about most produncts that I apply to prevent rust is that they all seem to attract dust.

That VIN stamping sure was neatly done!

I drove up here from Ohio, but in a Subaru WRX. It was a great drive and experience. I remember passing someone driving a Model T pickup on the way. I'm not kidding, that would be a trip!

There are about 5 months of good driving, though they don't use salt even when the snow is out. You have the flying rocks from the sand they put down in the winter.

I am looking for a '66 GT50, but would consider a '67. I've owned a -67 GT500 for 12 years now, I know the big blocks but have a lot to learn about the hipos.

Is there a website that tells what parts are specific to '66 K codes? Are there any casting codes on the block or heads that can be seen with the car and engine assembled that ID it as a K code part? I know the blocks were basic 289 blocks but were often VIN stamped. I've seen a couple different rearends in K's, one with a rounded back, one with more inward curves. Which is correct? Why is the balancer on K's fatter?
Basically, I'm looking at buying my dream car, a '66 GT350. I don't know much about K-codes and need some help, which I know may be really basic questions. Any other points on looking for the good stuff that directly relates to hipo specific parts are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello all,
I'm a long time Mustang fan but new to the K game. I'm trying to acquire a GT350 so I'm trying to learn as much as I can before then. Any other Alaskans on here?
