Already rebuilt by damper doctor 4L date code. Not used after rebuild. Trade for a 5F-5H date code or make me an offer. I am not sure what these are worth.

If all the blocks, heads, intakes, etc were cast at the same foundry, then they would have needed to be transported to the assembly plant to build the cars correct? In the case of the build date on the block --does that mean the day the engine was fully assembled?
I have a block that is one day apart from cast to build and another that is two days. Those dates seem way too close to be cast in one place then be transported to another and built. I have seen some that are a several days and heard of others that are weeks?
I wonder if the engines were assembled during the last phase of the build. Maybe that is why some were turned around so quick?
What about casting date of other parts of the engine (intake, heads) seems most originals are just a few to several days apart but I also heard of original engines with parts several weeks apart.
Looking for a complete set of hipo caps!
I just had to post this! Jeeps are one of my other passion aside from mustangs but this applies to both.
You may have an exposed wire or bad ground somewhere that is contacting the metal ring? I had to mess with my setup to get it to work good and consistently but it didn’t short on me
I have found this site to be valuable source of information over the years but I must agree lately it seems no one is updating anything. I have donated to the site over the years and I have been disappointed in the lack of response to some simple requests that I asked. I finally gave up also. Yes I do hope someone will take some ownership of this site and keep it updated.

Do you think these heads were actually redone by Shelby? Do you think modifications like these reduce the value of the heads? Seller wanted 3K for them. What do you think heads are worth these days?
I recently saw a C stamping on GT A code car. All of the panels where stamped with C instead of an A and the door tag was the correct A code. The correct hangers, rearend bumper and frame rails were present. Human error was always a factor with early Mustangs since they were mainly built by hand with not a lot of automation.
No VIN stamped on the block
I thinking 7K OBO

I just got one of these. No instructions but overall nice pieces, The vertical choke rod is not exact and I'm not sure how you would replace the part that attaches to the choke flap shaft without special tools. I also wasn't able to order any HP choke parts from Pony Carbs without a core.
Oh yeah and the choke clamp bracket screws are a little to long

Send me a PM and I will post.

Perfect thanks! Now does anyone have another round tab/boss alternator that they want to sell or trade?<img src=images/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
65 /66 alternators have the teardrop casting on the back with no number castings correct? HIPO book says round tab what does that mean exactly? I can't see the teardrop casting in the pictures in the HIPO book.
