NADA is a bunch of garbage. Here is a market value for you.

K code Fastback...Number 2 condition. Unless it is a concours trailered car with pedigree...I would never call it a number 1.

    45-50K

    Deduct 20% for Non-GT

    Deduct 10% for auto

Not sure what color your car is...

    Market value $35-40K

The intake manifold is no biggie, but the other parts I would keep.

Floors are easy to do, so let them rust.

If you want to slow it dow...go buy some spray can truck bedliner...I like Duplicolor. Spray right over the top of the rusty areas. I will keep it preserved enough.

Shop around for the metal work. Installing an apron and radiator support should not cost anymore than about $600-800 in labor....and that is a lot. (plus part cost)

    Don't sell the fan

    And dont sell the dist.

    Good Luck!

I buy a lot of cars....and I get that response a lot..."I just turned down $XXX" last week, last year..etc

It is always interesting when I wait another two weeks then go buy the car...thousands less than the purported "Offer"

I know most of you do not like dealers, but IMO, regular owner types lie and cheat more than any dealer I have worked with. In fact I sell a lot of cars to other dealers and those deals are easy and cut and dry.

    Gary,

This seems to be the price at which engines move. Price them over 6K and they better have every hipo part and be ready to go, price them in the 3K range and they get scooped and parted out. EXPERT?? Not exactly, but I have bought a bunch of K code stuff in the past few years....

    Gary,

Glad to see you are getting going on the Fairlane. I have another small collection of parts here for you. I am waiting to see if any more parts come trickling in. The body on that car will look spectacular, it's real nice when they are rust free and not cut up.

    Good Luck!

Oh yeah...I rescued it from a Chevy guy's driveway!!!! Those guys get real confused when the distributor is staring them in the fact when you open the hood.

It is actually harder to move the early stuff. 5 bolts bring less money and are harder to sell.

The 6 bolt stuff from 65-67 moves quicker and at better prices. Shelby cars are the key to this.

    Best offer ads STINK!

I will give you $100 for all of it.

The car is not that far from running. I just have to many things going on. I think the new owner is going to paint it the original color. I see a lot of nice cars and a lot of rare iron, this Fairlane is just one of those cars....rust free and straight with the original engine and trans. It is going to a good home.

I have been trying not to buy project cars but when a super rare K code fairlane comes up I had to rescue the car from a chevy guy.

This is a 100% rust free California DSO (71) Fairlane.

    Original color was Vintage burgundy

Currently has a new single stage Raven Black paint job.

Nice paint, but could use a final wet sand and buff.

    Interior is out

Motor and trans are in the car and are ORIGINAL numbers matching for the car. Not running....but the engine is fresh.

Pretty easy to put back together and get going but is is 4th on the project list right now for me.

    Cool Car

    K code

    4 speed

    $14,900

Make an offer!!! I will be able to tell by your offer if you want the car yourself to restore or if you are looking to make a quick buck by re-selling. Serious inquires only.

I find this amusing. So you are saying that the people who want to keep the car will be the only ones willing to pay top dollar?

How long have you had the car?

How much did you pay for it?

Maybe you are the one who is trying to "make a quick buck"

Is the title in your name?

Anytime people lis a car and put in "Make Offer" makes me think of a slimeball. It's simple....you have a car, you want to sell...set a price. I see you added a price later, but fishing for a price will generate low offers....especially in this market.

    Good Luck
