I've decided to sell my spare HP block to pay for paint on my K code.
It is std bore C5AE-6015E
Has original HP main caps
Has K vin 5R07K258292
Date code 5G20
The block still has the 2 oringal orange paint daubs with "HP" in white letters over the orange paint. I ask the maching shop not to vat the block, so they used some kind of a mild cleaner to save the paint daubs. All the bolt holes are good, no cracks, and std bore.
The machine shop said it could go back Std but probably should be bored .20 to clean up some light pitting.
Block is in Mesa AZ. $1750 plus shipping.
PS: I have pic's but can't post them. I can email pic's if you want.

I apologize to wcampbell, I'm not trying to highjack your tread.
BMaloof, I called the maching shop today to double check the .005-.007 taper, because it is a rare hipo block it's better leave it standard and bore it as few times as possible. They build $20,000+ race motors all day long with that much clearance, so I trust them. Just make sure the motor is warmed up to operating temperature before you rev it to 7000 RPM!

I have a 5C20 hipo block with hipo main caps and the vin stamped on block. It's a std bore and will go back std if you wanted, .005"-.007" taper, and just back from machine shop where is was cleaned and magnafluxed for cracks. (no cracks) I would sell it if March 20th is close enough for you. The block is in Mesa Arizona.

Thanks for the reply Ken. I ball honed the block today and couldn't get all the pits out cause from water sitting in three cylinders, I'm afraid it will wear out the new rings and start to smoke!<img src=images/icon_smile_dead.gif border=0 align=middle> One piston was pitted from water, I was trying to keep it standard bore, and I don't want to sleeve three cylinders so I decided to have it bored out. I should have honed it first before my post for a Hipo piston, I'm sorry about that.
It figures on the flywheel... I bought a hipo flywheel today here in Scottsdale Ariz but when they pressed a new ring gear on it was a loose fit and they decided to weld it on and it's not very pretty, I was desperate so I payed $250 for it. I may buy another one because the one I bought today is cobbed up. I'm not picky on the flywheel date code if it is a C3OE with the brinell hardness test mark on it. What's your price for the flyweel?
Thanks, Russ

I'm looking for my camera. It looks just like my other C5OE balancer with a date code D5 (not for sale) and the normal T.D.C. mark and four timing numbers 3-6-9-12 and the FoMoCo logo. No date code or timing numbers on the first one, just timing marks all the way around it with FoMoCo logo.

I have a C5OE hipo harmonic balancer with no date code and timing marks all the way around the balancer with no timing numbers. Was this a over the counter replacement part and what are they worth? Thanks!

I'm in need of a hipo flywheel and one standard 289 hipo piston to finish my fastback. Please contact me here or email me at rfwaz66@yahoo.com thanks!
