Thank you, Ralph. I pulled both of these off my two HiPo's. The "FORD" rally pac does have the words "Rally pac" on the center bridge. Exactly like the "Mustang" version.

I have two 8000 RPM high-profile rally packs. To my knowledge they are both original and not reproductions. They appear to be identicle in every respect except one has "MUSTANG" on the face of the tach and the other has "FORD". What does this difference mean? Early, late production? I'm not sure. If anyone can shed some light I would really appreciate it. Also, I am probably going to sell them as they are both extra. Thank you.

Hey guys, I have a high profile rally pack that neither the tack nor clock works. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a shop that repairs the rally pack. Thanks for your advise.

My warranty card is, of course, exactly like those posted. The dealer name is stamped in my "original" owners manual for the 65 conv K. Dealer is: San Jose Ford Sales Co., 375 So. Market St., San Jose, Calif. There is also something identified as " P&A Code" - 7885f. Not sure what this is either. Glad I could be of some help.

I had shimmy problem for years on a 57 T-Bird. I had the tires balanced many times by many shops. Never got corrected until I took the car to the local Lexus dealership. Someone told me the Lexus dealer has a super duper $45,000 balancing machine. I took the T-Bird to the Lexus dealer and, like magic, the shimmy problem was fixed. Those guys at the dealership really got a kick out of working on a classic T-Bird too. I recommend you give them a try.

Hi Murf:
Yes, I have the original "Ford Registered Owner" Identifcation card that came with my San Jose built 65 Conv K. The card is plastic, same size as a credit card. A pony logo is on the top right hand side. The first three lines are owner name and address. The fourth line has vin #. Fifth line has data plate info. Sixth line has actual build date; mine is 03/19/65 and then this number: 72030 0. I don't know what this last number indicates. Maybe owner no.? I does not appear that there is an idicator as to when the warranty expires. Unless that 72030 number means something. Please let me know if I can help further.

Hi Guys. I wondered if anyone knows the paint code or i.d. for the 1965 paint Rangoon Red. Thank you for your assistance.

What are you guys replacing your coil springs with? I'm only seeing "performance" springs that are stiffer and lower car 1 inch or stock 289 springs. Thank you for your suggestions.

I wonder if you experienced guys might help me. I want to add headers and a good stainless steal exhaust system to my 65 K conv with GT style rear valance. Each exhaust system I look at advises that "modifications" will be needed to make it fit on a convertible. What type of modifications do you guys typically see or does someone make a good system that is "bolt on"? Thanks guys.

Hi Guys:
I have 65K vert that is all stock. I was thinking of upgrading to a better intake manifold, carburetor, and some headers. I'm not looking for anything radical or too loud. My wife also drives the car(she can be a little racey). I sure appreciate your advice and experiance. Thank you.

Hi guys. I'm a new member and I'm in the market for a 65 or 66(prefer) convertible K code. I'm looking for a VERY nice car. Maybe a "retired" show car. My second choice would be a "factory" GT. If anybody has any leads on something like this I would greatly appreciate it.

I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been collecting T-Birds for many years and now I'm getting into Mustangs. For me it has to be a 65 or 66 convertible. I've been reading a lot, talking to knowledgeable guys, and looking at numerous cars to build up my education. I'm on the lookout for a "really nice" car and I would love for it to be a K code. Any help or advise you guys can offer would be sincerely appreciated.
