The door tag on my 65 K code is missing so I'm unable to determine how the car was originally built. I'd like to replace the tag, but need the info first.
Also, does anyone still keep the original Ford records as to who the selling dealer was? I'm pretty sure the car has always been in the local area, but can't verify.

I'm new to the site, but have been a Mustang owner since 1964....a brand new 1964 and a half coupe/260 3 speed.
I have owned my 65 K code since 1983, and have been unsuccessfully trying to trace it's lineage since then. Does anyone keep records on these cars, such as selling dealer, original equipment, etc. The tag on the door is missing, so I can't get the info there.
