I am not aware of any S7MS manifolds that were made in the aftermarket. If it is a Cobra lettered intake it is correct for a later production 67 shelby. The mods done to the carb mounting pad will effect the price a bit if you are trying to sell it.

The pump is sold........It is the nicest one I have seen in a while. It is really wierd that it had no numbers stamped into the flange, but stranger things have happened. Lucky for the new owner that can put the date code to match his Kar.

I do have a reman. that have found as well that I cannot make out the # or the date. It has only one spring.....on the top of the arm. The dimple is on the pump housing, but not on the arm for the second spring under.

If there is any interest in that one, make an offer. The stamped steel housing unfortunately has been blasted and not recolored.

That is my work #, call me tomorrow EST

This is a new piece not rebuilt. I am sure the correct numbers can be stamped, that I why I stated that. If a carter version sold for $600, then how much is a carburetor one worth?....wow is all I can say.

I have just found an NOS Carter "Carburetor" fuel pump in my stuff. There are absolutely no numbers stamped into the flange, or ever have been. The pump has the button top and both the springs are there and intact. This pump is beautiful. I really don't know what to price it at, but I do know it will bring some pretty good money on ebay. I would like to offer it to some of the members here first.

That is pretty crazy money for a core. I had a fresh engine with all matching date codes for sale about 2 years ago.....could not get 7k out of it. So, I did not sell it. It was complete with the exception of the carb.

The other thing I have noticed is that the color is not the same on each car. The color can be anything under the rainbow as the ford paint shop put the left over paint in the primer pot. I have an S code vert in the shop right now that was sprayed black at the factory. The 67 fast back I owned a year or two ago has an aweful pinkish color on it. I have an unrestored 68 shelby that is a very dark red.

If when the engine is warm and you have to sometimes pull the choke out a bit, the first thing I would suspect is a lean carb, or vacuum leak. Warm engines rarely need extra fuel to start. I would start by removing the air cleaner on a warm engine and try cupping your hand over the primary choke housing. If the engine speeds up a bit, then you will know the engine is running lean.

I have had a number of questions if this is a 5 or 6 bolt block. There is no block.......it is a rotating assembly. I also found the flywheel that the engine was balanced with, and has a 5G30 date. The engine that this came out of is dated 5H17. I believe this to be a Hipo flywheel, but no way to tell for sure. It has a paint mark, but it is too faded to tell if it is truely orange.

I have a complete Hipo assembly including Crank .010/010 with correct Brinnel test mark, Correct C3AE 3/8 bolt rods with new ARP bolts and resized to correct specs on Sunnen equipment (by me, I own a state of the art machine shop). The Pistons are Old school 289 TRW forgings with larger valve reliefs cut. The pistons are .030 and have been used for about 500 miles, but are in excellent condition. There is also a set of speed pro rings, but they have 500 miles on them and you may not want to use used rings. I will also include a new set of clevite bearings with the correct set of hipo rod bearings, not the generic cb-634p std 289/302 bearing. The complete assembly has been computor balanced on Sunnen equipment.

I am asking $1200 and this includes the timing set and hatchet.

So the 5th digit on my 66 GT 350 is an S as in SFM6S2015 does that mean I need to go to the FE fourm now?

    Now that's funny!!

All 260, 289. 302 blocks have provisions to use hyd. lifters. The only engines that are not drilled for hyd. lifters are some FE fords including 390 hipo engines and a lot of 406 and 427's. They oil through the heads and oiling through the pushrod is not an option on FE engines.
