the frame brackets look to be almost the same between hipos and regular 65 289's..There is a set on Ebay that according to the part numbers are not correct hipo mounts..but whats the difference?? I'm just speaking of the frame brackets,I know the rest is totally unique..

ok, so what about the the value of a K Code Coupe, rust free that currently has a 6 cylinder,3 speed,8" in it, but, all the correct numbers matching drivetrain comes with it..car even has the correct rally pac in it still..car needs interior and body and paint, but a straight rust free California car overall..Whats a fair price?? Thanks

I've been told that correct date codes would be anything 3 months prior to your build date of your car..And then someone told me that more times than he can count, 6-12 months and even earlier parts, were used on Fords..?? Any truth to this at all??

Thank You for that info..I didn't know that...

Yes most definitelt the same engine..Thats an Edelbrock F4B intake on that engine it had the same duct tape over it,same oil filter..Thats It For Sure,no doubt!

ah ha..I have the later thrust plate already,so perfect!! thanks!!!!

He wouldnt sell me the heads ..He told me he just bought the engine for $6500 and just found out it was missing all the good stuff in the bottom end..He has three real GT 350 Shelbys,64 Stingray and a few 65-67 K cars!! He wasnt hurting thats for sure.I got the engine, minue the heads which included the correct balancer and a hi po distributor which turned out to have the weights raped out of it for some strange reason,I just rebuilt that. The engine has the correct date for my car.I just bought the correct rods, mains, camshaft and timing cover for it.
He was a real cool guy actually.
He also sold me some hi po exhaust manifolds, bellhousing, shifter,Shelby Intake and carb. His prices were more than reasonable in fact..

my engine is a december of 1964..I really dont care..I want the easy way out..lol!! but i read something about different timing chains..I'm getting confused rapidly about this..so i thought all the k engines used thinner chains because of the hatchet on the crankshaft..?? I just want someone to tell me what is the easiest way to go..Thanks for your reply!!
