What I do is snip off the tabs on the back of the letters, get a good close up picture helps for reference and used clear emblem adhesive to stick them on with..it works.I do this with the GT clones I do, with the "GT" Badges..Scott Drake makes the "MUSTANG" letters for the fender with 3M tape on the back now, just for that reason..I love it..It works for a driver that you arent doing a concourse resto on...

Just curious its the same car as mine, built in San Jose,Ca like mine, scheduled build date is 15 days earlier, same color and codes..Wondering if they have a pic

I bought it from a guy in Redwood City Last year, non running, with a real beat up drivers door that was in primer, that door didnt have a data tag neither.I replaced the door with a parts car I had here and shot to match the reat of the car,it looks ok,not show by a long shot, but at least the color is dead on.I removed the rocker panel molding, laid down some black GT Stripes, emblems, replaced the seats front and back with a real nice set out of the same parts car,new drivers door panel, new carpet,Center Console.Complete tune up and oil change done recently. The car is an automatic C4.very nice driver, exhaust sounds great..Its going on Ebay real soon...

Exactly! This shroud could have been s.. canned so many times.

I went over my Parents house and was digging though some old parts I had left there years ago..I had a feeling I had the correct hipo fan shroud there in the garage..I went to the side of the yard and there it was!!,still sitting there!! it still has the correct rubber pad with the staples on it and in tact!!..the only thing wrong is it metal sheared at the top of the shroud..but I should be able to fix that...I pulled it off a 65 A Code coupe years ago.I didnt even know what it was at the time either..I figured I just might need it someday..Well Someday Is definitely Here!!

I know the scheduled build dates were usually not the exact day the cars were built, because of demand they were always behind and the car were built late..So it would definitely be possible.. Anyone??
-
The same guy who gave me the correct Autolite carb..Emailed me today and said oh I have a 4MA date code Dual Point..Do you want that to??I cant believe it!!

I have to tell you, this is the coolest group I have ever met.I have been on a lot of Hot Rod and Kustom messageboards. And none of them were as helpful, knowledgeable and friendly as this one is.This board and its members have and continue to be a great help in my resto project.Just wanted to mention that..Thanks Again!!

-Exactly..How complete is it?? Rust?? I just paid $2600 for my K Code Coupe, its a rust free straight car with no drivetrain in it at all.I have collected most all the numbers matching drivetrain I need and now I'm close to $9000 without even beginning the resto process!!
This car you're talking about is a 64 1/2 and its a convertible, that makes it both rare and desireable..
