My 66 has 3x2 installed and I plan on removing them and putting the 4v setup back on. Mine is an original FOMOCO item purchased in 66 by the original owner. If pictures and measurements will help let me know.

Welcome aboard John. Sounds like your have a couple of nice Mustangs.
Gary
Dave, that is an outstanding job! How did you get the driveshaft so clean or is that a new one?
Gary
John, thanks for detailing that out for us. I know who the original owner of my car is and the dealership it was purchased at. Sadly, I have not had any luck locating him.
Gary
When was the under carriage painted? First?
Thanks,
Gary
Dave,
I've been fighting a cold for the past week. Hopefully I will feel well enough in the near future to remove the cover and verify it was made by Cloyes. We could always ask if they would bring it back, but I doubt they will do it.
Gary
This is just a fantastic car. How did you ever piece together the history on this car?
Welcome to one of the best Mustang forums around.
Gary
Mu5tanggt.... Very nice K. I can't think of a better way to get a K Code then having your Dad pass it down to you. Original family owner.
Can you give us some more pictures of the engine bay? Not often you get to see one as original as yours.
Welcome to the club.
Gary
What I can't believe is the starting price was 35.00 and 8 bidders have run it up to 156.00.
Gary
The reason I asked about another company making them is this chain and sprocket shows no real wear. This indicates to me it was put in not too long ago or this engine has set for years without being run. I guess we will never really know.
Gary
Matt, Sorry but I didn't even look at the date code earlier. It has a B 6HD.
Gary
Quote from 5F09CKevin Marti can make a repop tag till you find that hens tooth.
Good luck on your quest.
The "hens tooth has arrived" I have an original C6ZF C tag. Got anything to trade?
Gary
Does anyone know of any company other than Cloyes that produced the double roller for the K code engine?
Gary
Quote from RPMIt probably is a Cloyes double roller chain that wasn't really roller. They called them that but didn't have the sleeve on chain that turned with gear.I've used them for years when I was drag racing and that's somebodies ole wives tale that you can't use double roller chain in Hipo motor. They just wasn't smart enough to figure out how to make them work.Still can today with no problems!
Bob, would you be willing to share how you do this? I'm sure most people would rather have the double roller over the standard chain on the HIPO engines.

Larry
Hey Larry, how you been? I will be detailing the engine first and will supply more pics on the Fairlane forum.
Gary
Hello Ralph, how you been? I think it is safe to say this is one of the Cloyes double rollers. What else could it be? This is the only double roller I have ever seen in a K Code engine. I wish they still made them.
I really hate to pull the dampener and remove the cover but will do it if we cannot confirm this is a Cloyes by just looking at the pics.
Gary
Dave,
That's the only thing I can think of. Anything else would wear the hatchet.
I wonder if this would change the balance of the engine?
Gary
Dave, no I was hopping someone could ID it without me removing the the timing chain cover. The engine is in a 64 Fairlane KCode I purchased.
Could it be one of the Cloyes double rollers made for the K Code in the 70's? I will wait until tomorrow and if necessary I will remove the cover and look for numbers.
Gary
Can anyone tell me what timing chain is in this engine? It is a 64 KCode 5 bolt engine with a build date of 3M19. Any help appreciated.
