Larry, I bet you are. I wish I could afford a Shelby but they are just too expensive for me.

I have given this car serious consideration and will have to pass. Too much unknown economy issues plus the fact I already own 2 K mustangs.

Thanks again for your offered help with this.

    Gary

That would be great Larry. Thanks very much. I will let you know. I'm taking a long hard look at my available cash situation and trying to decide if I want to invest in another K. The only reason I am hesitating is the current situation of today's economy.

I do believe this car has great potential at the right price.

    Thanks again Larry.

Brant, I tried to get some good photos of the rear of the manifold but it is very cramped back there and they did not turn out that great. I will email them to you first thing in the morning. As for the fuel line, it looks as if it got changed over the years. Nothing but black fuel line coming from a large inline filter and connecting to the fuel rail.

As best as I can make out, the pcv connection has a T fitting like you show in the diagram but it is square tubbing. One end screws into the intake and the pcv hose is connected to the end which has a female thread with a brass 90 like used on some pcv valves. One end has threads and the other has a slip for the hose to be clamped on. Then the T has a hose connected that goes to the drivers side somewhere. I will try to track it down further tomorrow.

The part does not look like the one in your diagram but works exactly the same way.

Ralph, did you and any of the others get the double roller yet? Let me know when you get it. I would like to compare numbers.

    Thanks,

I just received a PM from someone else so it must be working.

Thanks Fred, maybe it's something wrong on my end. This is the second time someone sent me a PM and I didn't get it. Fred would you please send me a test PM?

Please email me with price and shipping cost. I work at a mustang shop part time that the block can be shipped to. Many thanks.

    Ron,

    Did you get my email?

    Gary

    Charles,

I'm not sure. I will have to put it on the lift this week and look at it very closely.

Jeff may be right about the later attempt at restoration.

When my car went down the line to have the undercarriage painted I assume nothing was attached. Just the body. Maybe I can look under the gas tank and see the original paint.

Also, did they use robots to paint the entire car, including the pinch welds?

    Gary

I'm still having a little trouble understanding the sequence used to paint the under carriage. My 66 appears to have been sprayed red oxide and then a flat or almost flat black.

Anyway, this is an excellent thread. I have learned so much about the painting process used for the Mustang and would like to thank all that have participated.

    Ron,

    I have the following:

    C5AE-6015E

    4H20

It has the original main caps and was sent to the machine shop and it is ready for assembly. The bore is .30 over and has a sleve in #4 or #8. I can't remember which one. It is a true K code block with the VIN stamp, which could be removed or filled in with epoxy before painting if desired.
