I read that some Comet Cyclones were Hipos. I know where there is one and it is for sale. Anyone know what to look for to tell if it is a Hipo??? Dave

Sure do. You can make payments and it will LAY on the same shelf it has for the last 20 plus years until it is paid in full. One recently sold on this forum for $750 without a shifter. Dont remember if it had a K vin on it. The shifter is worth $150 all day long. Dave

Yea I know K code Fairlanes arent Hipos. The car I mentioned would be a good builder if you have a rusted car. Also a nice car to store/run your Hipo engine in till you find a Mustang. I had a 63 Fairlane years ago that was an original Hipo car. Dont remember the code. I rebuilt the motor so I know it was all Hipo correct. It was a 5 bolt block. When restoring it I bought some interior parts from a guy in VT. He told me as I was leaving he had the original motor in the garage. It was a complete engine and trans from a 63 Hipo Fairlane like mine. $400 plus it included a Offenhouser duel quad setup Carter AFB carbs. Sold the engine to a guy in Austraila and is now in a 65 Shelby. Dave

While at the BJ auction last week I took a side trip to Desert Valley Auto Parts. No Mustangs left but I did find a 64 Fairlane K code. I know these wer not Hipos but it was a pretty decent body. It has been stripped but is fairly rust free. It can be seen on there website at DVAP.com. The parts guys told me the best yard for Mustang stuff in the valley is FVM. Anyone ever heard of them??? Item number: 290182400068 Phone 603-899-5410 Brad / nice guy!!
I looked at this setup personally on Friday. Engine has been in propper storage for years. All correct parts except the carb but is correct hipo. Fan blade 65 B has some slight corrosion on tips of blades but not a problem. This setup is a real one . Complete and correct from fan blade to trans. If you need it dont miss it. Dave
