Final got it home. Other than the brakes it drives like a brand new 66 Mustang. Deal didn't go as smooth as expected. Seams the owner needed money and sold the rally pack for $750. I was able to buy it back for the same price, so final investment to date is $18,750. There were some pluses. It came with extra parts and has a nearly new set of Koni's.
Here are afew photos

Apology accepted! I still voted for the fastback though. They just look cooler.

Hey Larry.
Coupes are convertibles with the roof up and no wrinkles.
René
Thanks for the support. Us coupe guys feel left out at times. Hopefully next week I will get to pick up my newly purchsed 66 KGT coupe. Guess I will have to vote for the fastback though since I have a 65 A code and a 66 S code fastback.

Larry,
Can you help us out on any of the other items listed, including exhaust?
Sure, since it was out of the asked for time frame and just a A code, I did't think you were interested.

Early carpet,
Clip on window and door cranks, w/ early arm rest
Center off heater switch
Open hood bumpers
cariage bolt spare
Screw on wiper bezels
Non A vent knob
Not sure what to look for on the exaust and don't know if the A
codes had the Arvinode system. Will be happy to look if you tell
me what to look for.

Boy! don't be wasting our time if you are goin to let a grand stand between you and this car. If the car is close to you, that alone is worth a thousand dollars or more. Just my $.02 .

Message sent. Let me know if you didn't get it. I am having computer problems.

How about a original unrestore 63. It will be pricy, but you won't spend any money on it once you get it.

Not sure, the carpet has been changed.
My Nov. 64 SJ 2+2 still has the vinyl glued to the rockers with the new carpet installed over it. Might be worth a try to look.

Larry - Sounds like a great deal. Some pictures of it would be nice.
Gary
Ya, like the ones we have seen of your 64. I will get some as soon as I can. May have to wait till the carb is rebuilt to drive it home!
