Is there a known reason why they were put on 6 cylinders and not 8?

To the best of my knowledge, Ford did not offer a rubber strip for the top of the upper radiator support for 64 1/2-66 mustangs. I do see them on 67 mustangs. Does anyone know if they were installed, factory or dealer option, on 64-66 ponys? Thanks, Ed

Definately tape. Paint is simply not correct.

Richfield Springs was a fun show! My K took 2nd place. Off to another big show next Sunday, 8/12 in Milford NY, just south of Cooperstown. All makes and models. Will probably do some judging there. Can any of you northeasterners make it?

Just throwing this out there again....Does anyone have a 1965 jack in good working condition that they could sell? I already have the ratchet handle. Thanks, Ed

Are you referring to the guage bezel or glove box door? If so,I used a few drops of clear loctite in the past with some success. If that does not work for you I would cut off the loose stuff and apply a new woodgrain applique.

For all you central New Yorkers....Good show this Sunday, 8/5 in Richfield Springs NY on Rt.28 in the park. Gates open at 9am. Hope to see some of you..........Ed

So easy a caveman can read it.

Besides the wrong tires, clock, cord hanging over brake pedal and a new door tag which always makes me suspicious, I think this is a beautiful K and a great deal at that price. Wish I new it was for sale in NY. I would have gone to look at it. Market must be soft. I think K's like this should be selling for 45k-60k. I am sure we will get there and then some. ET

Found what I was looking for..thanks James and thanks to all who responded. Ed

Excellent observation Fred. Also .. Ford may not have been producing GT's as early as Valentine's Day in '65 Can someone chime in on that?
A couple of things bother me about the GT status of this car. The fog light switch is in the later production location rather than hanging under the dash and the drivers side fog light wires come through the core support which is unlike the early ones that I have seen wrapped around through the headlight area. It just looks to me like someone wanted to make it look correct and was unaware of how the early GT's were done. I would love to see the dash cutout behind the instrument cluster.

That is a nice car and a very early GT. Good to see 25k+ for a K coupe with a standard interior. Encouraging for all of us and our heirs!

These look like nice solid kars but they both need work to be in what I would consider to be in original restored show condition. That being said, I think the buyers got a good deal for the price.
Quote from SPECIAL EDI have not seen a clean original restored Hipo for under $40k in quite a while. GT's and original pony interior kars would command a higher price along with desirable color combos that are original.
I don't know about that...
Here's one that SOLD for half that amount in May of this year: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/…em=150119463246
This one was really nice, and SOLD for just under $32,000.00 in April of this year: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/…em=140103777698

They sell the correct nuts and washers, you just need the bulk part numbers. Nut shown below. Washers are B12998. Image courtesy of AMK web site.
[Blocked Image: http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/728/nutdq0.jpg]Hi Dave..Went to the bulk section but I had no idea which nuts/washers were correct for my application. How did you determine the correct ones? Thanks for the info. I am good to go! ET

Pictures would be a big help.

AMK makes and sells restoration hardware for many classic cars. I would, however, like the original nuts and washers in this case. Anybody? Thanks, Ed
