I am going to get a local muffler shop to install my arvinode this week and I bought the hangar kit for it, does anyone have good detailed photos of the install or the proper mount points for the hanger kit in case its not obvious when we go to do it.
Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Great White North... one day we should get together and you can give me some pointers on my car.
-
Anyone have experience with the Scott Drake frames, or complete assemblies?
Please let me know, thanks in advance.
-
Thanks! thats what I wanted to know
-
The ones I got from the local mustang parts guy are a joke, if anyone has an NOS set that they will let go for a reasonable price, please PM me.
I have yet to try the Scott Drake set, or any other USA Made set if there is one other than the Scott Drake one...
Looking for someone who has been down this road to give me a bit of advice.
I guess I could re-chrome the stock ones.
-
I agree, if it wasn't for those damn barrel locks and the risk to remove them, I think I might be inclined to run the 1965 style GT badges...
-
I guess in 1966 Ford decided to get with a silver paint, rather than chrome?
My Scott Drake emblems are this way and at first I thought they were just crappy quality, but I guess this was a true difference in the part from 1965 ( chrome ) to 1966
Can anyone confirm this?
Here I thought I knew a couple things about mustangs

Yes the car is mostly polished, there is a few spots that need touch up... the sequence was
1200 hand
1800 hand
3000 orbital
liquid polish

Even though its not correct, I elected to have the GT stripe painted on...
after 5 coats of clear its smooth as a baby's bottom on the stripe area

Was thinking there might be more to the k-code engine... like a S/N block

66 fastback. A lot of bodywork already done, needs trunk floor replaced. Have purchased all new sheetmetal. Has a built k code engine.(not stock) $13500 with engine, $11000 without.

Gives a decent explanation. So much so that I see several sites have plagerized this text, and I am not really sure who originally wrote it lol
-
Heads are K-Code with pocket porting, chevy valves, and a good valve grind ( builder claims 20HP is gained or lost in a bad valve job )
-
Ya when I bought the car it had tri-y headers, shelby intake, and the shelby holley 715 carb installed, with the ford cast intake, autolite 4100 k carb, and cast exhaust headers in a box in the trunk.
-
The engine dyno had 1 3/4" headers... so I guess I might encounter some losses with the stock exhaust... I am just not that keen on headers at this point in my life.
I dont think I will chassis dyno it, but I might very well 1/4 mile it at the nostalgic drags

Gonna be cheap and keep the old chrome valve covers for a bit then buy the sand cast open letter cobra ones.
