Yes, this question is related to the 1963 4 barrel intake. I saw in Bob's book the notation for the special 260 4 barrel intake, and also the OTC kit for converting a 2-V setup to 4-V for 221, 260 and 289. I do realize that the 64-67 HiPo's came from Ford with cast iron 4-V intakes.

At a swap meet this weekend a discussion came up that <b>only</b> the 1963 HiPo engines had a four barrel intake. From my reading of Bob Mannels book, I believe that the intake could be purchased over the counter or installed late in the year on production vehicles. I do not have the casting date presently of the intake in question, but it was a C3 intake with a PCV routed to the carb spacer from the ventalation hole; as pictured in Mr. Mannel's book on page 3-24, photo3C4. What are the thoughts of others?

I the 1980's I was employed by a Mustang restoration shop in Denver, CO; we did complete restorations on three all original Hertz cars and none of them had a VIN stamped on the. When I had my own shop later on I converted two automatic GT350's to four speed tranny's and neither one of them had a VIN stamping either.

It was my impression that if a Mustang with the later style rally-pac was ordered from the factory with the car that it was color coded to the painted dash and column. I woild go with white myself...I think it would look better.

That was great thinking to rebuild and not restore...to preserve the originality.

Automatic transmission bellhousings are all the same for 5 bolt blocks. The 6 bolt bellhousings for automatic transmissions are the same also.

If memory serves me correctly, those are vintage JC Whitney. They also had some with racing stripes offsetto one side...can't remember if those had a horse though.

I believe that the visibility package included a day-nite rear view mirror.

Bob, Up until about one year ago I had a rebuilt FoMoCo rebuilt dual point. I got it from a Mustang restorer in Southern CO. I probably had it for seven or eight years. I am trying to remember who I sold it to. Brown cardboard box with a green, blue and white labal w/ the Ford logo, wrapped in plastic, decent refinish on the housing.
