I think this is more a case of not knowing what he has. This seller has sold over 6000 items with very few negative feedback. That is hard to do. But as always, buyer beware. The parts are not as described.

What's the point of doing this unless you feel the need to obscure what you're doing. Personally, I like to see what people have been selling and how well they describe their items. I think it says a lot about the seller.

I think the first choice should have been split into two choices or appended to say "if all the K-specific components were swapped over".

Whether I would even consider would depend on how complete the transfer was. We’ve seen examples where the only thing swapped over was the VIN, some with correct drive trains and some without. There’s no way I would even consider such a car. My thought is the purpose here would be only to maximize profit and such sellers usually won’t own up to the car’s status.

However, if all the unique body and frame components were swapped as well AND the seller was up front about the car’s condition, then I would CONSIDER if the price was right. I would want proof the original Kar existed and that the VIN was not altered by changing the fifth character to a K. My thought here is if someone went to this extent, then the original car was probably so far gone it was the only way to resurrect it. Even then I would be hesitant to purchase. Either way, I think correctly rebodied cars should come at a significant discount.

Regardless of what we think about such actions, the reality is these cars exist and their proliferation will increase commensurate with their values. The best we can do on this site is try to identify them when they surface and hope the registry folks keep track of them.

quote:
you stated that someone accessed the accounts of the poeple that bid on the main caps ,are you sure of this.

I think he's saying someone accessed his account and deleted the bids. I'm not implying this is what happened here, but considering the offers, deleting all the bids would be a good way to advertise and sell your parts without having to pay ebay fees
