Hi, I hope this is the correct place to put this non K car. I have a 66 fastback that I purchased 2 years ago from the original owner, very original, rust free body and floor pan except for around rear wheel openings. Unmolested car, has original radio and all, driver seat has 1 small tear, otherwise nice for 40 year old car. Body has 40 years of daily driver dings and dents, no body repairs except behind rear wheel but needs again anyway. Has repo hood do to carb fire several years ago and body shop that was to lazy the refinish the original. only had small paint blistering. Car wears about 1/2 of its original paint. 289, 2V, MS,MDB, AT. I have 2 other cars and just will never get to this one, I want to see this car go to someone who will appreciate it. $15,500 Can email pics. Contact me at Marcy1023@aol.com, thanks Scott

Anybody looking for a 1965 9inch housing or HEH-T toploader, I have one of each for trade/sale. The axle housing is nice but needs to be sandblasted, this is a real 65 housing and not a fabricated replacement. The trans is complete but apart with little to no wear on the synchros or gears but the case has had a broken ear repaired. I originally bought this as a spare for my car but have since decided to swap a T-5 in so a spare is not needed anymore. I also have a complete set of 2.5 inch rear brakes for a 66 GT350, dated drums, segmented and replacement shoes and correct backing plates. Make me a reasonable offer. Anyone interested can email me directly at Marcy1023@aol.com

I believe G2 is the same as the Y2, both 4spd V8 cars only thing is G2 was the early rad(1965) and Y2 was the later(1965) 4spd rad. Check out the AMK website or their catalog, in the back is the repro rad tags they offer(not for San Jose rads) and they give a good break down of the codes and what year/trans/engine they came with.

Beagle, thats surprising, I remember the pics of the carb you sent me, it was soooo nice! Ebay is just crazy sometimes, I watched 2 "experts" bid up a used but rebuilt 715 reissue carb to a little over $1200, they could have each bought a new one for that. I guess it helped that the 4 digit date code started with a 6 and they all were fooled into thinking it was original when it was 1986, not 1966. Had I needed your carb I would have bought it, I would have bet you would get over $1000 on crazy ebay.

Restored 65 GT350 carb worth around $1500, S2MS carb restored with date code in range to be original equipment for 66-67 GT350 worth around $1200. I can purchase these carbs from a noted carb restorer for these prices as of 6 months ago. Your carb is definitely not original equipment BUT is an original service replacement, identical to the ones used in 65-67. I would guess it be worth $1000 restored, maybe $750 how it is now. Ebay may tell a different story though, you could get 2 that REALLY want it bad.

Hi, if the 982 stamp on your carb is the date code under the S2MS part number than this is a service replacement carb made 69/8th month/2nd week. If that is correct then this is an original carb, not to be confused with the reissued carbs that holley made from the mid 70's til current. The reissue carbs are really double pumpers without the rear booster passages drilled and le mans float bowls and vac secondaries, these are not even close the the originals in function, only look the same because of the float bowls. As far as the intake, I have heard but never saw that Branda made early repo's with small letters but they had S2MS part numbers. You most likely have an original intake if it is small letter and S1MS. Ther are 3 styles of small letter intakes, early has no pcv provision in #4 runnner and no S1MS part#, middle has pcv provision, some drilled and some not with no S1ms part #, and late has pcv provision and S1MS part number. I would assume then that you have the latest since it does have a S1MS part #. I would like to see a pic if you could post it or email it to me at Marcy1023@aol.com. I have been looking for one of these intakes in nice condition if you are interested in a partial trade or cash deal.
