That is the set I was refering to.
I wouldn't think an outfit as big as VA Mustang would say 100% exactly like Ford if they wern't.
I have also found a great looking FRONT cable (made by Scott Drake) who is known for top quality reproduction parts at Trophy Mustang for $29.95-anyone seen this one??
-
I bought a NOS FRONT cable off Ebay-(very expensive) and now have found a picture on the Trophy Mustang website of the repro that looks good (to me) what am I missing?? plus VA Mustang has what they are calling "EXACTLY LIKE FORD" rears for $135. for the PAIR of repros???

I think my restorer has someone that does them for him, I'll check with him and advise.

I am in need of the front and both rear parking brake cables for my July 1965 "K" convertible.
I have been advised by my restorer that the REPRODUCTIONS are not correct looking at all and will loose points at a show--any one have any experiance they could share about this?

Guys, I got the quarters last night!! $1250. each plus they are only 90 minutes from my restorer and seller will deliver with 1/2 down and 1/2 at time of delivery for $150 delivery which avoids the chance of them being damaged by a shipping company.
-
I've looked at the quarters on Ebay-everyone I speak to seems to think these will cost $1500. each, I have found that they were made in 1978-service replacements I guess??
Is the part number correct that is stamped on the back?
Anyone else bidding on them? I really need them but don't want to step on anyones toes.
-
Thanks for the replies!! Anyone know if the ones on Ebay ARE full quarters or just skins? anyone know the seller?
-
I am looking for both right and left full NOS FORD quarter panels for my '65 Convertible any leads appreciated!! Thanks!!

I am going to buy my cam, lifters, and timing set from Marv, I have heard too much bad about Tony Branda to deal with them.
-
OK, Great!! What would one use for the "bolts" on them?
-
Where can I get a new correct hipo solid lifter cam these days?

I am in need of 2 exhaust reinforcement plates for my '65 "K" convertible.
The whole floor is gone and the plates with it.
Are these included with new floors? are they reproduced separately??
book shows them as pn 58226.

This is what I kind of suspected.
My friend has a '67 GTO and HIS friend has reatored about 20 sets of ORIGINAL Hurst Wheels, and made a small fortune doing it!!
He has had MANY a set re-bushed to GM bolt pattern from Ford and Chrysler.
Anyway....thanks for the imput, I will be running the proper black painted slot SS wheels in 14x5 on my "K"!!
-
Thanks round2k!! That is what I thought, my JULY 1965 built "K" should have the BLACK ones then!!
-
I am considering getting a reproduction set of 14x6 Hurst Wheels for my '65 "K" convertible that is being restored.
Were these wheels popular on Mustangs back when they first came out? think they would look right on a concours restored '65 "K" GT convertible? are the repros ok? are they authentic looking? opinions please!

I am understanding that the early production cars that were built late enough to have had styled steel wheels were Argent painted in the slots while the later '65-'66 were Charcoal, do most vendors stock both??
