OK, Motive: Is this the brand/manufacturer that NPD sells?? how can I be sure that I get this brand regardless of who I buy it from? is this the best reproduction system on the market? Thanks!

I didn't realize that the snubber plate was determined by the type of exhaust (single or dual) I thought there was a plate for typical 6 cylinder and standard V8 (A & C code) and the one for our K codes was different because of the 9" rear end??

OK, Thanks Round2K!! so NPD has the best most accurate reproduction on the market?? this is good to hear because there is a location that is close to my restorer.

Anyone got a complete NOS system laying around?? what should I do for exhaust??
-
I have gotten the reproduction foam rubber sleeve from Mac's antique auto parts thats made for early Broncos and it looks pretty darn nice and I think it will pass once installed on the Mustang cable.

Thanks all for the help!! It sure looks to me like the S/D wheels are the best bet in the original size in a reproduction.

Belmont: what is your arrow showing?? the rear end snubber plate?? are you saying it isn't correct?? its really hard to see in this pic.

It is hard for me to believe that out of 70 plus views that no one has any experiance in purchasing reproduction styled steel wheels, I almost feel as I have asked or done something wrong....if so would some please send me a pm and explain?? Thank You.

Just do us all a favor and take QUALITY pictures of BOTH styles from many angles and post them here, if you are unable to do this may be someone can help you to post the pics!!
If you are so proud of your finished product then you should not have any problem posting them right here for us all to see!!!!

Has anyone bought the 1965 Charcoal painted 14X5 Styled Steel wheels, RED centers, and "correct" "POINTED TIP" lug nuts from VA Mustang?? are these wheels OK? Price OK? service OK? or is there a better place to get these wheels from??

Where can I get the most accurate REPRODUCTION exhaust for my JULY 1965 DEARBORN GT Convertible?
-
What exactly is the deal on the 1965 GT Emblems:They are listed in all the major Mustang suppliers catalogs as "CERAMIC, before 10/1/65"
Are these in fact CERAMIC?? I am being told that they are PLASTIC and don't look even close to the originals??
I know the 1966s are different and were originally plastic so I guess there is no problem with these??

Do you show the car??? if not skip the expensive oil filter and use an FL1A from Wal-Mart for around $4.00
-
Don't know if this would help any but I recently joined Uship which is a partnership between mostly private folks that need to ship items and folks that run smaller vehicles to do it with, may be you can work with someone on there to help with your transaction??

I am here!!!

Car IS listed in the registry located in LA....may be there is some way to find the owner this way???
-
I heard somewhere that the damper doctor is almost finished with a very acurate repro of this balancer, IIRC it will be around $400.00
-
I noticed that it doesn't feature FDs usual rambling about how fantastic the car and all its parts are, and only 1 full-on pic of the car instead of the dozzens they usually have with each car.
To me those cut-up pics don't look that good-(not real clear)

Steve, If you are driving your fastback and not concerned about points at a show I would suggest using modern radial tires.
If you are using a stock size wheel (14" X 5") the correct size would be 19575R14 though some use the 20575R14 which is just a little larger than an original 695X14 Bias Ply would be.
