I don't know who the manufacturer is but both NPD and VA stock the reproduction rubber mat for the trunk.....I'm not sure but I believe I've heard that the mat has to be trimmed to fit the fastback....

OK, Charles...you've given me some hope!! I would entertain one in need of re-coreing as well if I could find a correctly date coded Dearborn unitfor my July 1965 K
-
I will need a radiator for my July 1965 Dearborn built K soon.
If I elect not to spend the "big bucks" on an original what is the closest match cosmeticly that you have found?? will the newer 3 row units fit with the factory shroud?

Anyone have any dealings with LM via Ebay??? I am coming out of my skin all weekend hoping they pick up on my first inquirey Email about the system, and the note I put in when I did the buy-it-now about needing the "H" pipe for HIPO manifolds. I'm going to start ringing their phone 5 minutes before they open on Monday hopefully they didn't ship my system out on Friday with the wrong "H" pipe!!

I am involved, I guess thats the best way to put it with many automotive related websites for/because of the vehicles we have.
We have an '06 PT Cruiser GT (230hp w/turbo) that is my Wife's driver, and we have been involves on the PT Cruiser club website since the first PTs were so hard to come by on 2001.
Same idea as our HIPO Mustang site, people seeking help, and people giving help....
Well today I went to check in over there and found :Due to the down-turn in the economy we are unable to continue to service this website" my question is has anyone else found this on any sites that you frequent?? hard times for sure over at http://www.ptcruiserclub.com

Nice, wonder how much $$
-
Thats what I thought, Thanks!

Are the "H" pipes the same for standard 289s v/s the HIPO manifolds?
-
Yea, I like the idea that its a Mustang this time, and when it "transforms" it becomes an F150, and in this weeks episode it was an Econoline, so it is all Ford!!! something to watch
-
I really never watched the original series because of the brand that the car was (LOL)
-
FYI: ALL, I just got confirmation from Laurel Mountain Mustang that the system they are selling on Ebay IS the MOTIVE system for LATE 1965 UP cars this is the 100% correct stock system (NO FLOWMASTERS) and from manifolds to MY GT trumpets its $329.00 plus $46.00 shipping which totals $375.00 in my book, and given what it is and the quality of the MOTIVE stuff I personally think that IS a good price! (I'm going to get them to throw in a set of correct nuts for the manifold studs)
-
Has anyone bought a system recently?? if so who did you buy from and if I may how much $$ I'm looking at a listing on Ebay from Laurel Mountain Mustang (where I bought the great repro speedo cable) and they APPEAR to be selling the Motive kit for $329.00 plus shipping, I have sent an Email to check on this, its my understanding that I need the MOTIVE kit# C5ZZ-5257WRS WITH RESONATORS!! (Thanks again Charles)

Fred, The cannister I got from New England Mustang supply (in RED, when I bought it)is the correct double crimp design, looks like my original, I painted in with 1965 Mustang INTERIOR paint (at Charles suggestion) and applied the decal with RED lettering.
BTW.....How are the fuel pumps coming??
-
Just thought it would be an interesting descussion, but I guess not.
-
66KGT & RPM This is exactly my point!! What is up with all the crap reproduction parts on the market?? I had the same problem with the fuel pump canister for my '65 K engine (a 3939S pump) NPD does not even carry a correct piece, I have to wonder why this is with their size and all.....I had to end up getting mine from New England Mustang supply and having to paint it white from the red it came in then apply a decal to it myself!
-
This is GREAT news....do they actually pay people down there to do this?? (LOL)
-
Anyone watching the new version?? Is it a real Shelby??
-
From what I understand most of the Mustang suppliers have the correct color of grill paint for the '65 grills-I don't know if they have it in spray cans or by the pint or quart for use with a spray gun. I had thought at one time that the grills came in the proper color but was told otherwise.

I have looked more at the Motive site and figured out that they DO offer a complete stock/original system.
My question is would my JULY 1965 Dearborn built K convertible get the system WITH or WITHOUT the resonators?? I know it DOES NOT use the earlier transverse muffler system that was used on 64.5 cars, but am unsure as to the date that the system used the resonators....anyone know??
-
Thanks for the link to the Motive site.....I'm looking at the charts and see the flowmaster and some other turbo mufflers....do they not carry a completely stock/original type muffler??
