Acording to what I have heard Jon Enyeart (sp) of Pony say many times is that while the choke pieces from the truck 2100s may work to convert a 4100 it will not be correct looking enough to "pass" for an original, I bought a "clone" (and I absolutely hate the word CLONE) from Jon, and it is an absolutely beutiful piece, works well, looks perfect, and I am very satisfied with it so far, yes it was a little expensive but well worth it to me.
OK, In this "kit" are there instructions on how to install them and which holes to fill, ect?
You've got a point there! but to me this opens up doors to folks buying these parts and attempting to make their own version of the 4100 HIPO-like the fellow who once worked for Pony but stayed behind in New York and made a few and most that I have heard had problems and the customer service wasn't great....
Yes, Pictures would be helpful.
I simply can't believe that anyone that is familliar with Fords from the 60s and 70s doesn't know about Pony carbs by now, they have been reproducing the correct manual choke pieces for the HIPO 4100 for years now-they also produce a real nice "clone" if you will of the HIPO 4100 in house. http://www.ponycarburetors.com
What is the difference between yours and the ones that Pony already makes?
Round tab is correct, 42 amp for the HIPOS, and of course the larger pulley-lots of good info in Bob Mannel's book on this.
Its up to $76.00 right now!
Intake is sold! Thanks!
Yes, It was!! I've got 2 more manual trans V8 units but they lack the indentation for the fan to be 100% MUSTANG correct-(I believe they are actually Falcon oriented) but they are cheaper to buy if anyone can use them:(1)C3DE-8005 AT needs recore $150.00, and (2)C4DE-8005 C1 core IS GOOD $225.00, again, pictures available upon request. Thanks!
Radiator is SOLD to Chuck!! Thanks Chuck!!
I wonder if the exclusive 289 HP motor mounts could be made by using the machine that Jay Leno seems to be showing off lately?
I have an original cast iron Ford 289 4V intake manifold for sale, freshly cleaned and painted, date code 5F14 (June 14, 1965) includes new Tstat housing and temp sender. $75.00
I have an original MANUAL transmission radiator for either a Dearborn or Metcheun plant car (square tabs on top tank)pn# DEP C4ZE 8005 G1 will need new core before use,(I can get a core done here locally for about $250.00 extra) $175.00 for the radiator as is.
Great start on your site!! Is the info correct about the steering box being a 16:1 ratio? is the 22:1 ratio the "standard" ratio?
Fred, Thanks for the link! I couldn't figure out how to do this on my own! Rick
