This is interesting.....I didn't think Radial tires were invented until sometime in the early-mid 70s....I remember my Grandfather buying a set of private label Radials to replace the factory bias ply tires that came on his '70 Maverick sometime in 1972 and being told that they were the newest thing in tires......I think the '73 Mustangs came with Radials.....what aspect ratio does your sheet show? 75 series most likely......but again I am not totally convinced that a 1967 Mustang came from the factory with Radials.

I have anouther question about the dual Reds:(I think I asked it before but have forgotten the snswer) where does the "glove box" sticker go for these? I originally thought it went on the inside of the door itself, but now I'm thinking it needs to go on the back wall, if you will of the glovebox itself?? and doesn't it need to go at a slight angle to duplicate how it was applied on the assembly line?? (Thanks)

The fact the car IS registered......does this mean that its from when Bryan registered it or has the thief registered it?? any way to find out where the car phsycally is or exactly who has it right now?
-
I too received NOS original blanks from Fred very promptly I might add, and they look exactly like a real but used set of cut originals I have from 1965-I think thats just the way they wer back in the day.....(Thanks Again, Fred!!)Rick

What exactly is the purpose of the 15" steel wheel anyway?? I always thought that they were just a standard old station wagon wheel being used as an option on the Mustangs.....
-
As they say at B-J I don't think a person could build a really right one for that.
-
I think we descussed the Black K GT Convertible with the RED pony interior that was LISTED for $100K earlier this year, and came to the conclusion that it was a pretty decent car and that Randy Stone pretty much built it a few years back-I have no idea what it sold for, and I also wonder where F/D is getting all the K codes??
-
What if everything was 110% correct and the economy was not a factor?? $100K may be??
-
I know that Fred is sending me the real McCoy.....I can't believe that there are so many NOS (Originals) still out there uncut.

This should be interesting!!! B-J starts on TUESDAY!!!!!!

Brant, There is obviously a reason that YOU/VA Mustang are the only dealer at present on the spacers-its because YOU did alot of leg work on the project! and again, THANKS!!
I would also like to add that YOU just may have what it takes to work with the Carter fuel delivery people to get the fuel pumps done as well. I think there is a definate need for these pumps in the hobby.
Just as a side note on my 3939S pump on my '65 K engine:My K was GIVEN to me over 25 years ago by my Brother-in-Law who did all the usual hot rodding/drag racing stuff back in the 70s, and despite replacing the timing cover with an incorrect 260 cover in an emergency on the road repair from a junkyard in CA, my engine STILL had THE ORIGINAL 3939S pump STILL attached with the original crimped clamp when I got it!

Fred, I found out today that the reproduction key blanks are not good for the locks themselves in that used for a period of time they can actually damage the locks because they are that much different when looked at closely-in my case with a professional locksmith and a magnifying glass-she advised me to find NOS (original) blanks and have her cut them from my known originals.....I'd like to purchase a couple of ignition and a couple of trunk blanks from you as long as they are the NOS "Pony" keys.
Besides everything else the quality of the repro blanks leaves alot to be desired from the start and are not a 100% exact duplicate of the originals..........I'll send you a private email so we can discuss the purchase of keys.

Steve, Unfortunitly I don't have the part number, but hopefully someone will chime in and help.....you can contact Chuck at Distributor Dynamics for the numbers as he has both aftermarket (not sure of brand) and some NOS Ford points sets.....

I remember back in 1973 when I bought my first '65 K GT that the bulbs were clear and there was a GT Coupe in the neighborhood (I think a '66) that had the amber ones....I don't care for the look of the amber ones, and besides all of todays vehicles that have factory fog lights are clear so thats what I'm going to stay with.

I currently have clear fog light seald beams in my July 1965 Dearborn built K GT.
One just blew and I will be ordering a replacement soon and actually now I am wondering about the proper use of the AMBER ones?? I really don't particularly like the look of the amber......is either one really more correct than the other??
-
I also wonder about the dashpot......are "we" sure its for a 4 speed car? are we reasonably sure it IS NOS?
-
Jeff, My Kar is July 1965 Dearborn built, I hope to have a couple of pictures up today so everyone can see what I've got now.

Thanks Richard!! Great info!!
