Scott, Your video presentation is absolutely the best of this type I've ever seen!! I, too would be giving you a call if I already didn't have a K code!! Great Work!!
Have you ever thought of starting a business that provides this type of service to others selling special vehicles? You'd be good at it!!
Good Luck with your sale!!-Rick
I'll bet our friend Bill Heeley can help you, sorry, I don't have his # handy-Bill IS the Ford shifter expert!! he has shifters and a "store" on Ebay now too!!
I think it would be good for the small parts like they showed.
I'll bet if you had a nice straight bumper that it would work as well.
I'd be interested in seeing how well it holds up over a couple of years.
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy and safe Thanksgiving, and safe travels if you are doing so.-Rick

You are not using synthetic gear oil now are you? I understand from David Kee that the Toploaders don't really like synthetic oil and were not designed to run with it.
they certainly weren't designed for it as synthetics didn't exist back then, but...... When I mothballed my T-10 I put in a toploader that D. Kee had restored for me & initially used conventional gear oil. When it came time to change the trans. oil I decided to try Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil. It works fine for me. The warning from D. Kee states that it does work fine for some people, but not for others. The problem is supposed to be when shifting fast, the synthetic oil doesn't provide enough friction for the gear syncros to work properly. Apparently I'm so old I can't shift fast enough to induce this problem so I'm sticking with the synthetic oil for the reduced wear benefits.
Z.Z, You've only got a couple of years on me (I'm 53 now) and I don't shift very fast anymore either-(LOL)
Thanks Brant for posting the pictures!! is the spacer unique to the Hipo application?

I'll bet Brant does, I didn't realize that there were reproduction pulleys on the market with the correct part number on them either!! (BRAVO again BRANT!!!!)
Interesting......Thanks!
I think you are probably right.I know I really don't pay much attention to the '67-'68 cars though I had a real nice '67 C code convertible back in the day.
I was just reading about the fantastic '67 GT Convertible in the new Mustang Times and the car has a C code 289 in it, I don't know alot about '67s but I thought to get the GT package it was the same as the '65-'66s and you had to have at least an "A" code 289 to get it??
GREAT CAR!!!! Don't see many '67 K codes around, let alnoe a Convertible!!
Just out of curiosity where DID you get your carpet, and how did it fit??
The larger pulley serves to slow down the alternator when you are revving the Hipo engine in things such as racing so it won't over charge.....as long as you are not hammering your substitute engine hard all the time then you are fine with a standard pulley.
As far as finding a replacement correct Hipo pulley there are decent repros out there if you are not concerned with having numbers on it, or possibly watch Ebay or advertise on here if you want an original.
Oops...I must have not had my glasses on the first time...I see the stars now...sorry!
I'd say in 1967.....
I am a little surprised as it looks like the vin pictured was stamped by an amature with stamps that don't look anything like originals and there are no stars either.......
I had mine done by them about 2 years ago and it came back like brand new!!
Please keep us posted as to how yours turns out.
If you have your ORIGINAL I don't think you'll spend $295. to get it rebuilt/restored...
