Quentin, I am not sure that these "new" kick panels that VA has now will fit/are for a '67-I thought they were for the '65-'66
-
Quentin, I am not super familiar with '67s but I do believe that the 24F battery was the optional HD unit-I don't think Ford offered the bigger 27F until '69.....

I picked up about 15hp (per dyno results) with an K&N A140E8, which is 14" x 2 1/8". I have about 3/4" hood clearance running an Air Gap manifold. My car is an early '66 with standard '65 mounts.
Hope this helps
Was this 15hp increase on the dyno done on YOUR car? in YOUR presence?

I, too have had this problem on my #4 cylinder getting the plug out.
I was advised to buy a cheap, thin 13/16" socket used for lawn mower engines commonly available at most parts stores, walmart, ect, I got 1 and it worked perfectly-the #4 cylinder plug on mine was the only 1 that I had any trouble with.
I was also told that IF I had reproduction Hipo monifolds that they could be troublesome in allowing enough clearance to get to all the plugs-Mine are THE originals.....

This question goes along with my posting about cleaning/polishing of the gas tank-see below:
Mt Kar received a gas tank stencil during restoration which, believe it or not had a word mis-spelled and an incorrect date for my Kar's build date.
I got a correct stencil from Charles many months ago and am now, after getting the tank nice and clean going to try & apply it.
Would anyone be able to tell me how to do this and possibly give me some pointers as to what type of paint to use and how to apply it, and possibly where to correctly place it on the bottom of the tank?
The incorrect one WAS on the passengers side of the tank towards the front, was very straight, and very clear, I wouldn't have thought that an original stamping would have been "THAT" clear or straight as it is my understanding that the U S Steel people stamped the steel BEFORE it was made into the gas tanks.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys!! I'll try & find the finer 00000 steel wool then........and may be the trucker's polish....
-
I think this is either pretty sad or pretty funny to think that SOMEONE thinks that there was a 289 Hipo installed into an early Bronco....never know though may be it would have been a neat ride....

Thanks Dave!! I'll try the steel wool-I've got some here that I used when I had paint mist on my SS wheels-Charles recomended it and it worked well on them, so I figure that with some good old WD40 my gas tank will look as good as new.

Yea, I'm thinking on just going ahead and installing the spring, which BTW I got the stainless steel one.
I just went to do it and feel that the lower hose may have been sealed/glued with some type of sealer and of course the tower style clamps don't always want to cooperate-I'm thinking better safe than sorry-and I might just drive it a few miles on the interstate in January on a cruise during a show here.

You get them from Randy?
-
Guys, I am not really planning on any serious racing with the car just some light cruising innitially, then may be a bit of spirited driving, but nothing regular or sustained......
-
What can I use to clean up my tank? looks like its kind of oxidising a bit-do galvanized tanks do that? I tried a little chrome polish and it seems to work slowly.....anything better??
-BTW this is a reproduction tank about 2 years old. Thanks!
-
I just bought one and wonder if I really need it? I remember in the old days if we bought a cheap hose that it would colapse and thats why Ford originally installed them-to keep lower hoses from colapsing.
I haven't driven my Kar very much yet, but plan on in the future and am just trying to be proactive. Thanks!

Regardless as to who would admit it, I am asking IF its illegal to open mail sent through the USPS that is addressed to someone other than a person who may open it.
I don't even open my Wife's mail at home, and she doesn't open mine.

Does anyone know anything about U S Postal Laws: I sent a former co-worker a Christmas card addressed to him C/O the employer's company name and we feel that it was probably opened and discarded by management, are they allowd by law to do this?
