Hi Dan,

The fan is sold. I just found out that the nos air cleaner lid and base are not correct for a 65 mustang but are correct for an AC cobra or 64.5 Mustang hi po.
What is the value of a 65 Factory gt harness? It is pretty complete except for the headlight harness and part of the engine compartment. It is complete from the under dash to the tail lights. It has a couple of the connecting ends missing but not bad at all. If I remember correctly it came off a convertible or a fastback. I am getting rid of this to get an nos under dash harness for my 66 shelby. By the way do you guys no the part number for the shelby harness?
As always thank you for the help guys. I will call Jim and Tony and see what they have.
I am looking for any type of original shelby hood but I prefer an all steel or steel and fiberglass combination. That one on ebay is way too much for me. I would settle for a good reproduction if that is the going rate. Who makes the best reproduction?
Anybody knows where I can get my hands on an original 66 shelby hood? If not who makes the best reproduction? I have a repro. now but I am not happy with it. It is shorter than it should be. I have no Idea made it.
Well, I jumped the car today and went to the local parts store and had by alternator tested and it was not working. They did the old school test of unplugging the neg. while the car was running and it died. I was planning on replacing the alternator but noticed that my regulator plug (by the washer bag)was disconnected. As soon as I hooked it up all the problems went away. Thank you for your help as usual.
Thank you for all the info. My car has been sitting for a while. It won't even start unless I jump it. I will go to the local parts store and have the tests done. I'll keep you guy informed.
My alt light came on in my 65, should I be worried? Does something need attention.
Where can I get the black paint for the interior or should the question be what type on paint was used for the dash and interior trims?
I can be reached at 702-768-9972
I recently took these parts on trade on a 67 Shelby steering wheel so I don't have pictures but I will take some for all interested parties. I also have an excellent 67 Shelby steering wheel(SECURA)with horn assembly for $1000.
I'll send you some pictures this evening.
I have few k parts that I am parting with. They are not cheap but they are good quality. I am open to reasonable offers. I am looking for an original 66 shelby hood and over the counter steering wheel.

Thank you for all the info. I am getting ready to do 1405. I don't want to cut any corners so I've been selling some of my extra hi po stuff to get money together for the restoration. No panels will need to be replaced so that is very good. I am pretty mutch the second owner. Please email me when you get a chance at colshlby65@aol.com
Is there a specific brand of red oxide primer that you guys recommend to use? If so where can I get it. I am doing my 66 shelby and want to get the best possible primer. I would also like to know what the code is for the Saphire blue paint and where I can get it from. As always, your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the info.
I got my hi po manifolds blasted last year and they look bad already, is there a paint or some type of finish that can be used on them to give them the original look?
