i'm considering buying a hipo carb that is missing some parts, not yet sure which parts specifically. can someone tell me- if i have a carb from an "A" code with 1.12 venturi's can i take most of the parts the hipo carb needs from this other one ?
i just don't know how many parts in a manual choke hipo carb are unique to it and how many are interchangable with the 4100's used on the "A" codes ?
thanks in advance-
here's a 66 GT with automatic trans located in Georgia with a healthy buy it now of $49,500.
i'm selling a hipo fan for a friend, i think its an older repop. i'm wondering if anyone knows its manufacturer by the stamping on 2 of the blades. the blades are aluminum...i don't know if the new repops have aluminum blades or not ?
the numbers stamped on the blades are 911960 F92
estimates on its worth ?
thanks-

anyone recognize this car ? has it been discussed in the forum before ?
here's a link to an ad for a 64 1/2 coupe, says it has its original drivetrain. i saw this car for sale a week ago from another dealer at 32k, Chequered Flag apparently bought it & added 5k to the previous asking price.
can someone please clue me in as to what a hipo alternator pulley is worth ?
its a repop made by California Pony Cars, new- still enclosed in the original packaging.
thanks-

looks like Adison has a bit of a midas touch, since he just sold this car in ebay for about 5k more than he paid for it. the person he bought it from listed it in ebay about 3 times over a period of 6 months in 07 with no luck selling it until Adison picked it up.
that car was listed in ebay for all of 2 1/2 hours- not a very well thought out move to offer a low buy it now on a rare car with the original engine. the best thing about ebay is the enormous exposure it offers, unfortunately that benefit is lost when the car is only listed there for 2.5 hours.
whats the price ?
when i spoke with the seller he told me he set the reserve "way above" the offers of 25k he has for the car. he said he did this intentionally in order to see how high the car will be bid to.
this car is a good example of how ebay has become a good place to sell a car and a bad place to buy one. too many people with too much money and way too little knowledge of what it will cost to restore a car in this condition.
i spoke with the seller who told me he has 3 people local to him who have been trying to buy this car for "years". he said their offers are all "around 25k". because he is not familiar with mustangs he decided to let ebay determine its worth. i can just imagine who much those 3 guys are liking him & his decision to sell it in online after pursuing this car for years.
fyi he told me he paid someone to inspect the car and was told it has the original engine/trans & correct hipo components. he was also told it needs a floor, inner rockers, torque boxes, frame rails.
hard to put a price on a kar this rare but i'll bet it'll bring big money despite its restoration needs since it has the correct stuff under the hood.
i had an inspection of this Kar done back in July and was told the right rear torque box was rusted & needs to be replaced. seller knows this but i see his ebay listing says "floors & torque boxes in good shape".
we have a 64.5 Indy Pace Car that we've decided to sell. only 190 were made and only 60 are known to exist. 90k original miles, engine 260 V8 and C4 trans recently rebuilt. lifelong Texas car, all original metal, 100% rust free. new brakes/tires/interior. Car needs nothing. the last one i saw sell brought 32k at a Mecum auction back in May. $34,500/best
fyi- http://www.classicmusclecars.com is a dealer in IL which has 4 of these pace cars. all 4 of them are priced above 50k.
here's a link to some info on these rare mustangs in case you're not familiar with them-
saw this in the mecum site. to be sold in Kansas City, weekend of Nov 30.
please email with condition & price. thanks-
i spoke with this seller, was told the car needs complete metal replacement under it, thats its been hit on the passenger side and that the door & 1/4 on that side have alot of bondo in them. he initially had the price in ebay at 60k ! he told me the price to buy it is 36k, interesting reasoning behind his price- its because thats what he owes on his house and he wants to pay off his mortgage. also told me he's had a local offer of 27k which he flatly refused. unfortunately he does not have anything to prove its a factory GT- original paperwork, buildsheet, etc. however someone who knows what to look for may be able to tell if its a genuine factory GT.
