Their site doesn't have a show date yet. Does anyone have news on when it will be?

There are one or two NOS quarters on ebay.

Hello Bill Zilk - it was nice to meet you at the WW National.
-
Fred - The car belongs to the owner of Mustang Parts House and he had just completed a lengthy restoration. He said that when he bought the car it had been pulled apart for paint and been sitting that way for 20 years. He had it rubbed out and then put in fresh mechanicals, brakes, etc.

You're right; I tried to get a picture of his car, but he had it judged then left, and didn't show up the next day! It was a nice car. He was across the row from Chip and John, the pair of convertibles in the last pic.
There were also 4 cars with hipo badges that were either A or T codes.

The vintage burgundy FB - concours driven gold.
-
Deryl - we'll have to get together and compare details at some point; my car was two days behind yours in production.

That's California.

There were 290+ cars that attended the show! There were at least 7 legitimate K codes. Terrific show!

Great pictures and very helpful; thanks.

Could someone with an original 65 FB please do me a favor and take a picture of the fastening details for the back seat and rear hatch from the vantage point of the trunk? There are some 3/16" rivets that hold in the fiberglass trim near that rear hatch opening and the Osborn books say they should be 3/16 x .450 steel with steel shanks, but steel seems like it would be too much for the fiberglass to handle without cracking. Thanks.

If you want to overhaul the lever you can send it to Bill Heeley and he will replace the stranded cable with heavy gauge solid wire. He will return it to you rechromed, with fresh rubber bushings, the correct thicker washers, and new lock bolts. He is in Olney, MD (301) 774-6710

Pics on ebay: looks like a small vibration damper.

The ignition switch should be off. You disconnect the two smaller wires on the solenoid and make your remote starter connection there. The small lug marked S that is closest to the positive side of the battery cable will receive the power from your remote. The other small lug on the starter cable side marked I is the ignition bypass wire and you don't want it connected or the car could try and start.

If you're on the committee perhaps you could lobby for a half-dozen spots grouped together in the lot! I'll be driving down on Thursday. Perhaps we coordinate by PM with the other K cars.

Bob,
My experience is the same as yours. I have a 65 VIN stamped block and trans that were original to the car. When I disassembled the motor the 1M mark, the polished counterweight, and the orange paint were all present. The crank had yet to be turned and was standard size on both the rods and mains. (This is the motor I sent you photos of during our correspondence.)

I run about 3,200-3,400 at those speeds.

Ron,
I bought the Diamondback dual red lines and always receive compliments on them at shows. Feel great and don't send you all over the road like bias tires. P205/70R 14 on 14 x 6 SS repro wheels.
My car is the vintage burgundy FB that's the last image in the first section of the Skrapbook gallery.

Isn't this the same car that was just posted to the skrapbook by new member earlyK? Engine looks the same.
