We're going to need to turn down the lights and get some popcorn! Very cool.

Buyer and seller fees are part of the big auction game. It's the cost of doing business in that market venue - they're all adults and know what they're getting into.

Is the balance of the VIN covered so it won't be known the registry? Does that add perceived value to the transaction under the guise of confidentiality?
-
Based on my own experience I would recommend that you concentrate on keeping the undercarriage color as it originally was. Body color and undercarriage color are expensive and difficult to do over later. Bolt on parts are easy to change, but if you decide you decide to sell or show the car with the wrong body or undercarriage colors you can lose out either way if it is not authentic looking.

Go to the Members section and send a PM to Marv. He has new repros that are perfect.

does original cam from k code engine have any value?
In my opinion; only as a paperweight or momento.
Quote from dunc289If it is serviceable, I would say yes.
I don't know that I would want the risk; old cams with new liters have been known to go flat. You can buy an exact repro from Marv or get NOS - there are plenty of them out there.
Cost of new cam $200 - cost of used cam $100 = maybe $100 bucks saved.

Back again:
BIN: $69,500
Seller: Being brokered by cars-and-guitars.
In the registry and last noted in the USA.

Someone else should look, but there seems to be a lot of sealant around the front frame rails, wonder why. Maybe it's just the photo quality. Rattle can detailing of the under carriage. New tires and wheels since we saw it last. Nice color combination.
Thread from 2004 when the last BIN price was $23,500:

I think it's a terrific car. I don't know how much I'd pay for it, but it appears to all be there and not been wounded. The master cylinder is forgiveable.I'd love to have a coupe like that to work with.

Great article and photos, Murf!
-
Bob - thanks for sharing. Great pictures, too.

Is your red oxide primer wet or is it glossy?
-
Mark,
I would be intereseted in a 12/64 or earlier core if you have one.

I was looking at Shelby's new magazine and spotted an add for R-A Motorsports. Their site features ongoing work on this 67K.

Great work Fred. Is Steve Gregori at brakeboosters.com near you?
-
Fred - I noticed that, but isn't it correct that the GT duals were used from the introduction of the trumpet tips?
-
Yes. The Arvinode system was used before the GT duals were put into production.

You can buy the Ford Factory Assembly Manuals from NPD or most of the Mustang supply houses. They are reproduced under license from Ford by Osborn Publications. There are a total of 5.
-
Update for all of you still interested:
Scott Halseth of NPD is trying to round up parts and has a couple of vendors he can work with now, including the one I was talking to. NPD has more horsepower than any of us, so I would encourage you to support their effort in getting the system reproduced.
I submitted a request to the Ford Archives for the drawings....don't know if they'll release anything or not, but I've made the effort

Some of them had dots and some had stripes. Jeff Speegle has an image in his files somewhere of a car that actually has one spring with stripes and one with dots. There is a reference in the Ford drawings of the paint on the stripes being applied to all of the leafs in the stack.
