Took delivery of a full set of the NPD reproduction clamps today. They are right on the money in appearance and quality:

Condensers in charging circuits were typically used for radio noise suppression. Ford approached this with a condenser on the voltage regulator, one at the alternator, and the grounding spring in the front wheel hub covers. In the case of the hipo, they did not try to use a suppression spark plug wire, they stuck to solid metal wires for performance. That was actually a step in the opposite direction because metal wires will typically produce a lot of radio noise. If Bob's book notes an internal condenser in the alternators it would seem like that would be the place for you to start. In your shoes, I would want to know the part number for the alternator and a way to identify that particular condenser.

Yes, if it was not a California car originally. What was the DSO?
"Such a deal I have for you! Today, ONLY $3,500!"
let me get this right . it,s all right to replace a fender or other sheet metal parts but not a snubber plate ?
No one has issues with replacement or restoration, just conversion for the purpose of misrepresentation to unsuspecting buyers. There will probably be a few cars that genuinely need a snubber plate for restoration and that's not an issue. If someone purchases a snubber plate with the intent of faking a GT or a K code for profit, that's unethical and just plain wrong. Does that help clear it up?
No offense at all.
I guess I should rephase that to mean converting a car from one form to another. I say that in the context of having seen too many altered cars, particularly fake GTs, that ended being sold to unsuspecting or inexperienced buyers.
Those 10/64 mufflers are abundant and can be had for as little as $75 if someone is patient. Have to agree with Gene; the rest of the system is almost as hard to find NOS as that other weird K code exhaust:)
Never had a problem with them.
I imagine that Jim is right about parts sitting on the shelf; there couldn't be much of a market for this item unless you had a car that had a rear clip or a rust bucket. The only other reason would be to create a K code or Shelby out of something that never was to begin with.
Quote from 66gtkAlso, seems that would necessitate a rebalance - we know how fun that is with SS wheels ):
You can find fender washers at any OSH in their bulk hardware area. You're looking for something with a slightly larger OD than the standard washer.
As for wheel balance, it's not an issue becuase it's so little weight and at the center of the wheel. They can't balance the tires off the car with the centers in anyway:) I recommend Road Force balancing if you've never tried it; as at better shops and you'll find they have the machine to do it.
On the NOS caps I finally ran a bead of silicone around the inner edge of the backs to keep them from flying apart. Nothing worse than watching your centers go pinging down the road when they leave your wheels!
If you get the larger fender-style washers you can keep them in place. Once I have them secured and the screws are snug I put a little dab of silicone on the screw head where it meets the washer; this is an old off-road racing trick to keep the screws from shaking loose. I never did understand why Ford felt two screws would work when it was obvious they should have had three.
Sorry to be tardy in posting this for you:

It looks like the manifold vacum for the PCV valve is tapped into a single runner in the intake.
The cannister Allen sells is the same as one I had
on a rebuilt pump. My NOS pump has another lettering,
not so much red fields as this one. I don't know the
significance of this difference but the one on my car is dated
May 28, 1965 and the other is much newer.

I would imagine that Allen's listing is a later service part. No doubt those colors in the ebay image are too vibrant; photoshop, ebay optimization or something similar.
Charles - can you have them match both colors? I am willing to try to make a stencial or a stamp.
Jeff - did Richard use stamps or stencils?
If I can get a specimen of each - fuel canister and coil - and some help laying out the various date codes we should have I'll go for it. May as well figure out the starters while we're at it.
If anyone has samples they will let me borrow I'll go for it and then hand off the stamps to Jeff for his archive when we get done.
Charles:
Much better image for you -
