This is an unusual modification and you might be able to get input from the modified forum on the VMF. Most of the K car folks are restoring rather than modifying.

I've never seen anyone do this with solids:
We used the clips and the valve covers with the holes in them for adjusting hydraulics if we were troubleshooting back in the '70's. I never knew anyone to do it with solids on a running engine; learn something new every day. Personally, I'll stick to doing it with the engine off:)

Sounds GREAT!!!! My later repro system from Motive Industries sounds just as good!!
I don't think Motive is making this one........

We saw a great example of an unrestored 65 GT last weekend at Mustang's Plus and the level of gloss was generally higher than that of most restorations. It also had a lot more runs and imperfections than most restorers would want to have in their paint jobs.

I see a burgeoning market here; repro Autolite batteries with the tab notch and tabbed hold-downs sold as a kit! Someone get in touch with Mark Vasquez and have him get tooled up!
-
Mark - if you can pull it off I'll take two. Thanks for being willing to put it together for us.

Looking to replace the remote mirrors on my car with standard sideviews. Does anyone have a copy of an original sideview installation template they could send me?

It might be easier to communicate your message without the polling; I admit to being confused about what's being said here.

The NPD catalog page has the correct dates listed:)
-
Fred - did the list rated BHP?
-
The value in the car is in keeping it stock. Stock compression & pistons and a stock cam. If you have it properly tuned it will have plenty of horsepower. Balance it and do it right and you'll be glad you did.
You can buy the cam new from Marv Shaner. If you want NOS Fred Ballard might have one.

Don't think we have had anyone with a GT put the system on their car yet.
Hanger kits are in stock at all NPD locations.

It sounds like there is a disconnect or miscommunication when it comes to disclosure.

Hope you have better luck boycotting ebay than I did. I tried that once and they're still in business:)

I am being advised by my restorer that I should not drive my car very far with the NEWLY REBUILT ORIGINAL disc brake proportioning valve installed due to the fact that it is not reliable, I was supplied an aftermarket valve in the glove box.....
Has anyone experianced failure with one of these valves correctly rebuilt??
If your restorer made a general statement he's entitled to his opinion. If he had a specific reason relative to your car then perhaps you should listen to his advice i.e. he doesn't trust the party that did the rebuilding. There are many disc brake cars on the road with properly rebuilt proportioning valves. Very few can be rebuilt successfully without stainless steel sleeving to repair the pitting from rust in the cylinder bore.

Just the bushing itself so I have something to look for. No shoulder - OK. Flat base, beveled base? Is anyone making them?
