Welcome aboard.

Please note that not all information in Tony's book is correct.
According to AMK and DeadNutsOn the 66 as well as 67 models are supposed to have C6AF alternators.
Maybe our experts can correct me if I am wrong.

Didn't the special 64 1/2 hardtop made for Henry Ford II have the
same door handles? Just a thought.
/Bo
I checked the one on my 65 Shelby and it is clear. Also checked one
I have from a complete C5ZZ windshield washer kit and the T is white
and has a short piece of original hose attached on one of the ends. It also looks a bit different than the clear one on the car.
I used the bag, hose and marked electrical wire from the kit when I restored my car 20 years ago.

An oddity about the original -H pulley. All originals
I have owned and seen have the H stamped very weak and
hardly visable in most cases. Anybody else seen this?
Nowadays it's quite difficult to separate the best reproductions
from originals as both location and font on the numbers
are so close.
/Bo
Brant,
You are probably correct as regards two different thickness
of the built in spacer on the -C and -H respectively.
I don't remember how thick the spacer is on the backside
of my pulley and it can't be seen when mounted.

The question is if the -C marked pulley sold by Brant has
the built in spacer at the back or if it's like the original
flat. That's what decides which fan and alternator spacer needed.
65 Shelbys built at San Jose in the end of May early June have been found to have the -C pulley.

Thanks Dan, sent you an email.

T-10 transmission seal and I would like to have it,
Thanks, Bo
Please be aware of that the -C pulley needs a specific fan
with a flat middle and a specific spacer as well.

Welcome onboard. Do you happen to know a guy in France who
bought a 66 Shelby from Claude Dubois in Bryssels, Belgium
in 1982. Serial number 6S944. I personally looked at that car and made a bid but we couldn't agree and the car went to France.
Have some pictures of it that the current owner may be interested in.

Welcome to the forum. Great with members from all over the world.
/Bo (Swedish born, Texan by choice)
I saw the movie Red Line 7000 in Stockholm, Sweden in 1965
and decided right there that one day I would get my dream car,
a 65 Mustang GT350. Was 17 at the time. 11 years later I started
looking and found one for sale in Sweden, 5S070 and the price was about $2000. However, it was sold when I called and I ended up
going to Los Angeles in 1977 to buy a 65. Found one for sale in
LA Times for $3500 but nobody answered when I called. Ended up buying
a 67 which I still have. After moving to Texas in 1987 I found my
65 in Tyler, TX in Feb.1988 5S275. Still have that one too.
Life is great.

Hi Brant,
I don't know how to post pictures here so I send you a couple
of pictures of a NOS 65 and a NOS 66 kick panels by email.
/Bo
Brant,
Original panels had two bends in the upper area,
one quite close to the upper hole.
Never seen these bends on any reproductions.
These new ones, do they have these bends?

Dunc289,
Are you sure the 289 HiPo's went into Falcons
in the Monte Carlo rally in 1963. I believe they
were 260's in 63 and the 289 HiPo was used in 64. Could be wrong though. As one of the drivers were a fellow Swede Bo Ljungfeldt
I have read quite a lot about these cars.
/Bo
The alternator fan should have 13 blades and be flat in the middle.
The spacer should be thicker than the later version and the pulley
should be marked -C straight over and not the -H in a half moon shape.
/Bo
Sorry to see you sad Larry. Beautiful car.
I saw that car at Carlisle many years ago and they asked $12000
for it.
/Bo
There is a guy advertising in MCA's Magazine, I believe his name is
Mr Garcia and he makes window stickers for Mustangs and Shelbys.
Don't know if he can do newer cars though.
His first name may be Tony but I am not 100% sure on that.
/Bo
The structure isn't as sturdy and the most obvious difference
is the lack of a rubber pad stapled on the passenger side to protect
it against the battery tray. Originals have that pad and replacements
don't.
